Tidal Arms is the second, self-titled album from Brooklyn-based rock band Tidal Arms. The album was released on November 26, 2013. [1]
The band recorded the album alongside Alex Mead-Fox at Spaceman Sound, their studio in Brooklyn, NY. The album was mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan). Much of the recording process was documented on the band's Instagram account.
The album saw its release on vinyl and digital outlets on November 26, 2013. The vinyl offerings, pressed by Black Numbers, include 100 pink, 150 sea foam, and 100 clear with black smoke vinyl. Vinyl can be purchased at the band's Bandcamp page. Fans may also stream and download the album digitally from that location as well.
American Aftermath writes, "Every single track tells its own story and could easily stand by itself, but when you put them all together, this becomes a magnum opus. Some bands spent their entire career trying to put together material this strong. The opening track 'Gooski's Ladder' sets a tone for the album that will leave you begging for more and there is so, so much more... 10/10." [2]
Chris Alfano of Gear Gods writes, "Engine Down/Sunny Day melancholy and massive doomy oppression are such a good combination that I'm surprised it's not a played out genre, but very few bands do it. But of those that do, none of them are adept as Tidal Arms. They pull it off perfectly live. I've literally never heard a band with a better pocket and groove in the metal scene." [3]

Gorguts is a Canadian death metal band formed in Sherbrooke, Quebec, in 1989. The band has gone through various lineup changes since its inception; its only constant member has been guitarist-vocalist and founding member Luc Lemay, who remains the primary creative force of the band. To date they have released five full-length albums and one EP. Their most recent release is the EP Pleiades' Dust, released on May 13, 2016. Their latest full-length album Colored Sands was released in 2013 and was nominated for a Juno Award. Musically the band is known for its complex, musically dense form of technical death metal, and has become "one of the most advanced, experimental, and challenging groups in the entire genre."
Enslaved is a Norwegian extreme metal band formed by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson in Haugesund in 1991. They are currently based in Bergen. The band's lineup has changed many times over the years, and Bjørnson and Kjellson have been the sole constant members. The current lineup also includes lead guitarist Arve Isdal, keyboardist/singer Håkon Vinje, and drummer Iver Sandøy.

Knut were a mathcore/sludge metal band from Geneva, Switzerland, formed in 1994. They started by playing in the local underground squat scene, publishing a couple of seven-inch releases as well as their first CD in 1997, titled Leftovers. This early material was put out on Snuff Records, which was run by Roderic Mounir and Didier Séverin. In 1998, Knut released their first full-length, Bastardiser, which showcased a sharper and more focused aggression, combining heavily distorted guitars, odd-time signatures, use of discordance and repetition, and harsh vocals.

Emil Werstler is an American guitarist and musician based in Nashville, Tennessee who is perhaps best known for his work in metal and gypsy jazz. In 2004, Werstler became lead guitarist for the metal band Dååth, whose second album The Hinderers peaked at No. 49 on the Top Heatseekers chart in 2007. In 2009 Dååth released The Concealers on Roadrunner which reached No. 35 on Top Heatseekers and was placed as No. 3 on a list of the "top twenty metal albums of 2009" by Metal Sucks. In 2010 Werstler released the instrumental metal album Avalanche of Worms as a collaboration with Eyal Levi with the album receiving a largely positive response for its musicianship and experimental nature.
Ulcerate is a New Zealand-based extreme metal band formed by guitarist Michael Hoggard and drummer Jamie Saint Merat in 2000. The band have released six studio albums to date. The band have been featured in numerous articles as one of New Zealand's most prominent extreme metal acts, have toured widely across North America and Europe, and have been compared favourably to bands such as Neurosis and Gorguts. The band's sound has been described as "nauseating, disorienting and gleefully disharmonic", and is characterised by extremely technical death metal with extensive use of dissonance, time signature changes, and complex song structures.

Call To Arms is the nineteenth studio album by British heavy metal band Saxon. Call to Arms was released 3 June in Europe; 6 June in Denmark, Finland, and the UK; 8 June in Greece and Poland; 10 June in France. Previously, it was due to be released on 23 May 2011. The album was released on 27 September in North America by EMI. Current Deep Purple keyboardist Don Airey made a guest appearance on the album.
Tremonti is an American heavy metal band founded and fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Mark Tremonti, best known as the lead guitarist of the rock bands Creed and Alter Bridge. The band also consists of rhythm guitarist Eric Friedman, bassist Tanner Keegan and drummer Ryan Bennett. Bassist Wolfgang Van Halen and drummer Garrett Whitlock are former members of the band. Mark Tremonti's Creed and Alter Bridge bandmate Brian Marshall was also a touring member in 2012.

Killer Be Killed is an American heavy metal supergroup founded by Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato and Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera in early 2011. The lineup also features Mastodon bassist and co-vocalist Troy Sanders and Converge drummer Ben Koller. The band had slowly been working on material before announcing its name in October 2013, along with their signing to Nuclear Blast. The group's self-titled debut record was released in 2014. In September 2020, the group returned with a new single, and released their second album Reluctant Hero in November of that year.

"About Ta Blast" is the debut single by American rapcore band downset. It was released as a seven-inch single in August 1993 through Abstract Recordings. The song was later re-recorded for the band's self-titled debut album in 1994 under the spelling "About To Blast". In 2022, it was reissued with the demo version of "Breed The Killer" as a bonus track.
