Tiffany Brooks (born February 18,1977)[ citation needed ] is an American former right-handed pitcher and first baseman in independent league baseball. [2] [3]
Brooks was the first female baseball pitcher in the 21st century to sign a contract with a professional American men's baseball team when she signed with the Big Bend Cowboys of the Continental Baseball League. [4] [5] After successfully completing Spring Training (April 30 –May 4,2010) in Alpine,Texas, [4] Brooks was the first woman to make an American men's professional baseball Opening Day roster since Ila Borders in 2000. [2] [6] Brooks had a brief stint with the team before seeking her own release to pursue other playing opportunities.
Tiffany Brooks is also the first and only female baseball player to ever play in all three Independent professional instructional leagues:California Winter League,Arizona Summer League,and Arizona Winter League. [7] She is the first and only female player to compete in the California Winter League (2011),the Arizona Summer League (2011),the World Free Agent Spring Training event in Florida (2012),and one of two women to ever compete in the Arizona Winter League (2010).
As of 2017,Tiffany Brooks is a free agent.[ citation needed ] She presently runs her own baseball and softball academy in Spokane,Washington,called Brooks Baseball and Softball Academy. [10] She is featured in the books The Bus Leagues Experience,Volumes 1 and 2. [11]
The All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) was a professional women's baseball league founded by Philip K. Wrigley,which existed from 1943 to 1954. The AAGPBL is the forerunner of women's professional league sports in the United States. Over 600 women played in the league,which eventually consisted of 10 teams located in the American Midwest. In 1948,league attendance peaked at over 900,000 spectators. The most successful team,the Rockford Peaches,won a league-best four championships.
Jennie Lynn Finch Daigle is an American former softball player. She played for the Arizona Wildcats softball team from 1999 to 2002,where she won the 2001 Women's College World Series and was named collegiate All-American. Later she led the United States women's national softball team to the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Ila Jane Borders is an American former left-handed pitcher in college and independent professional baseball player. As a female pitcher in men's leagues,Borders achieved numerous baseball milestones at the college and professional levels,including being the first female pitcher to start and win a men's professional baseball game. In four seasons from 1997 to 2000,she appeared in 52 games and posted a record of 2–4 and 6.75 earned run average while recording 36 strikeouts.

Beacom made her debut on 8 January 2022 for the Melbourne Aces in a game against the Adelaide Giants. A left-hander,Beacom throws a curveball,an 85.9 mile-per-hour fastball,and a changeup,and stands at 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m). Beacom stated she intends on coming to the United States to play college baseball for 2023.
