Timothy James Coleman (born January 4, 1995 [1] ) is an American professional basketball player.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Union Township, Union County, New Jersey, Coleman played prep basketball at St. Anthony High School and collegiately for the NJIT Highlanders. [1]

Club career

In 2022, he joined MLP Academics Heidelberg.

In July 2023, he extended his contract for another year. [2]

In July 2022, Coleman's coach Joonas Iisalo said that Coleman “is an incredibly versatile player who can play many positions. He can rebound and defend multiple positions." [3]

The NJIT Highlanders, formerly the New Jersey Tech Highlanders, are the varsity sport members of the Division I NCAA-affiliated sports teams of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). The Wellness and Events Center (WEC) is 220,000 sq ft. sports and recreation facility that includes a 3,500 seat basketball arena in Newark, New Jersey. It was built at a cost of $102 million by the New Jersey Institute of Technology. The Wellness and Events Center is the home court of the NJIT Highlanders who joined the NCAA Division I American East Conference on July 1, 2020. The WEC replaced the former arena of the Highlanders, the Fleisher Center. The new arena broke ground on November 12, 2015, and opened in time for the 2017–18 basketball season.

The NJIT Highlanders men’s lacrosse team is a college lacrosse team that represents New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey, United States. In December 2013, Travis Johnson was hired as the first head coach in the history of the program.
