Tim Keating is an American football coach and former player. He is currently a volunteer assistant at Stetson University. He was the head football coach at the Wesley College in Dover, Delaware, a position he has held since the 1988 to 1992. [1]

American football Team field sport

American football, referred to as football in the United States and Canada and also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. The offense must advance at least ten yards in four downs or plays; if they fail, they turn over the football to the defense, but if they succeed, they are given a new set of four downs to continue the drive. Points are scored primarily by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone for a touchdown or kicking the ball through the opponent's goalposts for a field goal. The team with the most points at the end of a game wins.

From 1993 to 2011, Keating served as the head coach at McDaniel College, winning over 100 games and becoming the program's winningest coach. [2]

McDaniel College

McDaniel College is a private liberal arts college in Westminster, Maryland. Established in 1867, it was known as Western Maryland College until 2002 when it was renamed McDaniel College in honor of an alumnus who gave a lifetime of service to the college. The college also has a satellite campus, McDaniel College Budapest, in Budapest, Hungary. McDaniel College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college owns and manages a shopping center and residential properties through its for-profit arm.

Urban Meyer American football coach

Urban Frank Meyer III is a former college football player and coach. Meyer served as the head coach of the Bowling Green Falcons from 2001 to 2002, the Utah Utes from 2003 to 2004, the Florida Gators from 2005 to 2010. Meyer became the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2011 until his retirement after the 2019 Rose Bowl. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998, the same year he coached Kirk Cousins in youth flag football.

Tim Brewster is an American football coach and former player. He recently served as the head coach of the University of Minnesota from 2007 until he was fired midway through the Golden Gophers' 2010 season. In 2011, Brewster was a sideline analyst for Fox College Football and the NFL on Fox with Gus Johnson and Charles Davis. Brewster currently coaches tight ends and is the recruiting coordinator for North Carolina.

Dick Harlow American football player and coach

Richard Cresson Harlow was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Pennsylvania State University (1915–1917), Colgate University (1922–1925), Western Maryland College, now McDaniel College (1926–1934), and Harvard University, compiling a career college football record of 149–69–17. Harlow pioneered modern defensive schemes. Often fielding undersized teams, he pioneered coordinated stunts to get around or between blockers rather than trying to overpower them. His offenses were based on deception and timing rather than power, utilizing shifts, reverses, and lateral passes. Harlow was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1954.

Harold Sebring American judge

Harold Leon Sebring, nicknamed Tom Sebring, was a Florida Supreme Court justice, and an American judge at one of the Subsequent Nuremberg Trials of German war criminals after World War II. Sebring was a native of Kansas and an alumnus of Kansas State Agricultural College. While Sebring attended law school at the University of Florida, he also served as the head coach of the Florida Gators football team that represented the university.

Timothy Richard Tebow is an American professional baseball player, former professional football quarterback, and broadcaster. Stetson served as the head football coach at Hamilton from 1982 to 1984 and again from 2006 to 2011. He was also the head football coach at Boston University 1985 to 1987 and Hartwick College from 1992 to 2001, compiling a career college football coaching record of 89–111–2. Stetson was a University of New Hampshire assistant football coach from 2002 to 2005.

The Maryland Railroad Lantern is an authentic metal railroad lantern with four lenses made by the Adlake company of Chicago circa 1907 and used as a trophy that is awarded to the winner of each college football game between Division III schools McDaniel College and Johns Hopkins. Johns Hopkins University football team is currently in possession of the trophy.

Edward Eugene Tarr was an American football and basketball coach.

The Stetson Hatters football program is the intercollegiate American football team for Stetson University located in the U.S. state of Florida. The team competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and are members of the Pioneer Football League. Stetson's first football team was fielded in 1901, but the school dropped the sport in 1956 and did not reinstate it until 2013. The team plays its home games at the 6,000 seat Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand, Florida. The Hatters are coached by Roger Hughes.

Herbert McQuillan American football and basketball coach

Herbert Raymond "Hub" McQuillan was an American football and basketball coach in the United States. He served as the head football coach at Stetson University from 1923 to 1934 and again from 1955 to 1956, compiling a record of 55–44–8. McQuillan was also the head basketball coach at Stetson from 1924 to 1935, at Texas A&M University from 1935 to 1941, and at Texas Christian University from 1941 to 1948, amassing a career college basketball record of 220–224.

Tim Holt is an American football coach. He is the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach for Santa Margarita Catholic High School. He most recently coached for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League. He was a three-year letterman at Southern Connecticut State University, and coached there for two years afterwards. Holt would serve a total of 15 years with colleges. Holt served ten of those years with the offensive line, with the rest as running backs. In 2009, Holt was hired as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaching intern, before becoming an offensive assistant, and becoming the assistant offensive line coach under head coach Raheem Morris and offensive coordinator Greg Olsen in 2011. In his final two seasons with the Bucs, the team's offensive line yielded 4.5 rushing yards per carry, seventh best in the NFL. Holt, along with the rest of Morris' staff, was fired after the 2011 season. He was hired by the Bears in 2012 to succeed Mike Tice, who was promoted to offensive coordinator. Holt is the fourth offensive line coach for the Bears under head coach Lovie Smith. On January 17, 2013, Holt was among seven coaches not retained by new Bears head coach Marc Trestman.

Timothy Frederick Lester is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at Western Michigan University, a position he has held since the 2017 season. Lester played quarterback at Western Michigan for coaches Al Molde and Gary Darnell from 1996 to 1999 and professionally for the Chicago Enforcers of the XFL in 2001. He then served as the head football coach at Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana in 2004 and at Elmhurst College from 2008 to 2012.

1903 Florida State College football team

The 1903 Florida State College football team represented Florida State College in the sport of American football during the 1903 college football season. The team was led by head coach W.W. Hughes and posted a 3–2–1 record and won the State Championship. With no formal nickname or mascot, the Florida State College football team was known simply as e. g. the "Florida State College Eleven".
