After Julia disappeared, Tim starts an affair with Tanja von Anstetten. But as Tim starts to see through her and witnesses her devious character, he ends things with her. Soon after, Tim gets involved with former hooker Cleo Winter and the two even want to get married. But when a pregnant Cleo comes behind Tanja's latest scheme, the kidnapping of Clarissa, Tanja kills her. He starts working together with Clarissa, who's encouraging him to take Tanja out for good. Tim kidnaps Tanja and takes her to Portugal, where he looks her up in a cellar. After three years, Tanja can break free and Tim is found dead the same way as Cleo.

Tanja receives a call from Timo asking about Tim and is scared. She even flashes back to Tim kidnapping her all those years ago. When Charlie Schneider finds out about Timo's call to Tanja, she wants to protect the boy and encourages her waiter to make another call, pretending to have called before only to ask about contact information of Tim for a reunion.
