Tim Wyskida (born November 13, 1971) is an American drummer, most recognized for his work in the bands Khanate and Blind Idiot God. [1] [2]



Tim Wyskida began playing drums at the age of twelve, learning jazz technique and composition. [3] In 2000, he joined the band Khanate, a drone metal project formed by Stephen O'Malley and James Plotkin. [1] At the same time, he joined guitarist Andy Hawkins and bassist Gabriel Katz in the band Blind Idiot God, filling the position left by drummer Ted Epstein five years prior. [2] After releasing three albums Khanate disbanded in 2006, with its members pursuing separate musical endeavors. In 2009, Clean Hands Go Foul was issued by Hydra Head and comprised unreleased recordings. Blind Idiot God released their fourth full-length album Before Ever After in February 2015, which comprised material recorded over the thirteen-year span since Wyskida joined as a member.

Blind Idiot God is an instrumental rock trio formed in 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri by guitarist Andy Hawkins, bassist Gabriel Katz and drummer Ted Epstein. The phrase "blind idiot god" comes from horror writer H. P. Lovecraft's description of the god Azathoth. Their often improvisational musical style combines influences from punk rock, noise music, 20th-century classical music, heavy metal, dub, free jazz, and funk. They are currently based in New York City and have often collaborated with musicians Bill Laswell and John Zorn.

Corrosion of Conformity is an American heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. This band has undergone multiple line-up changes throughout its existence with guitarist Woody Weatherman as the sole constant member. Weatherman, founding bassist Mike Dean, founding drummer Reed Mullin, and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan are widely regarded as its classic line-up. Gabriel Paul Katz is an American bassist and founding member of the noise rock band Blind Idiot God. He performed with the band since its formation, recording three studio albums with them between 1987 and 1992. He also assisted bandmate Andy Hawkins in the recording of his Drone music project Halo, released as Azonic in 1994.

<i>Before Ever After</i> 2015 studio album by Blind Idiot God

Before Ever After is the fourth studio album by Blind Idiot God, released by Indivisible Records on February 24, 2015. It marks the first album of new studio material by the band since Cyclotron, released twenty-two years prior. Produced by guitarist Andy Hawkins with composer Bill Laswell, the album was first issued on double LP, then on CD and finally as a digital download. Laswell has described Before Ever After as the band's apex.
