Today Is Vintage is an entertainment company founded in 2012 in Malmo, Sweden by music mogul Rebstar. [1] As of 2022, the company represents Grammy winners and artists, songwriters and producers accumulating over 10 billion streams worldwide. Spearheading the "Swedish invasion", [2] Today Is Vintage is one of country's leading record labels, music publishers and management firms [3] [4] [5] with its headquarters in New York City.

History

Today Is Vintage was founded by Swedish artist Rebstar in 2012 to serve as a platform for creative minds with international potential. [6]

In late 2012, American-Hungarian Kállay Saunders became the first artist to sign to the label [7] with his first single My Baby peaking #1 on the Hungarian Top 40 chart. [8]

In 2019, Today Is Vintage moved its headquarters to New York City. [9] [10]

In 2020, the company launched its film and TV production division with Saturday Night Live writer Megan Callahan-Shah serving as co-founder and co-CEO.

Today, some of the most popular rappers use Swedish, often in different accents.

Bryan Christopher Williams, better known by his stage names Birdman or Baby, is an American rapper and record executive. He is the public face of the record label Cash Money Records, which he co-founded with his older brother Ronald "Slim" Williams in 1991. Birdman released his eponymous debut studio album in 2002, and released three follow up albums—Fast Money (2005), 5 * Stunna (2007), and Priceless (2009)—to moderate commercial success and mixed critical reception; in 2020, he announced the latter as his final. Along with his solo career, he is a member of the hip hop duo Big Tymers with producer Mannie Fresh, as well as the supergroup Cash Money Millionaires.
