Todd Petty is the head coach of Texas Tech's women's tennis team. He replaced Cari Groce prior to the 2008/09 season.Petty finished his eleventh season in charge of the Texas Tech ladies' tennis program where he has guided the Lady Raiders to public unmistakable quality behind three Big 12 ordinary season titles, the program's first Big 12 competition title, five 20 or more win seasons, four NCAA Sweet 16 appearances and two NCAA Elite Eight offers. In 2019, he was raised to Director of Tennis at Texas Tech, instructing the ladies' group and regulating the men's tennis program too.
Petty is a three-time Big 12 Coach of the Year (2011, 2012, 2017) and three-time Wilson/ITA Texas Region Coach of the Year (2012, 2016, 2017). He has driven Texas Tech to program-long dash of eight-straight NCAA Tournament offers, and the Lady Raiders have scored an Oracle/ITA Top 25 last positioning during six of the last eight seasons.
Under his tutelage, the Lady Raiders completed the season in the Top 10 of every two of the last three seasons and came to as high as No. 5 in the nation.
Petty has 208 wins and a .695 prevailing upon rate his 11 seasons. Following the 2017 season, Petty outperformed Harrison "Mickey" Bowes vocation win all out of 156 wins (1980-89).
In July 2022, Petty resigned suddenly from the Texas Tech tennis program. It is unclear as to the circumstances surrounding his departure. Petty no longer coaches tennis professionally.

The Baylor Bears are the athletic teams that represent Baylor University. Prior to joining the Big 12, Baylor was a member of the Southwest Conference from their charter creation in 1914 until its dissolution in 1996. Bryan Shelton is an American college tennis coach and former professional tennis player. Shelton played collegiately for Georgia Tech from 1985 to 1988, and then played professionally from 1989 to 1997. He subsequently returned to his alma mater to coach the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women's tennis team, which won the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship in 2007. He is currently the head coach of the Florida Gators men's tennis team of the University of Florida, where he coached the Gators to winning the 2021 NCAA Championship. He is the only head coach to have won a national championship in both men and women's NCAA Division I Tennis.
Larry Hays is a collegiate baseball, basketball, women's basketball, and softball coach. He served as the head baseball coach at Lubbock Christian University (LCU) (1971–1986) and Texas Tech University (1987–2008). Hays also served as the head coach of the LCU Chaparrals basketball, LCU Lady Chaps basketball (1982–83), LCU Lady Chaps softball (2010), and LCU athletic director (1979–1987).
Texas A&M Aggies refers to the students, graduates, and sports teams of Texas A&M University. The nickname "Aggie" was once common at land-grant or "ag" (agriculture) schools in many states. The teams are also referred to as "A&M" or "Texas Aggies," and the official school colors are maroon and white. The mascot is a rough collie named Reveille.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets is the name used for all of the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the Georgia Institute of Technology, located in Atlanta, Georgia. The teams have also been nicknamed the Ramblin' Wreck, Engineers, Blacksmiths, and Golden Tornado. There are eight men's and seven women's teams that compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I athletics and the Football Bowl Subdivision. Georgia Tech is a member of the Coastal Division in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Marsha Sharp is the former head coach of Texas Tech University's women's basketball team, the Lady Raiders. She retired after 24 years at the conclusion of the 2005–06 season. Sharp was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
Gary Claude Blair was most recently the head coach of the Texas A&M Aggies women's basketball team. In his 32 years as a collegiate head coach, Blair has only suffered two losing seasons, and has reached postseason play 28 times, including 23 NCAA Tournament appearances and 2 Final Four appearances in 1998 and 2011. He led the Aggies to the NCAA national championship in 2011. He is listed in the top 35 of the all-time winningest active NCAA Division 1 women's basketball coaches, and is one of the few coaches to guide three different schools to national rankings and NCAA Tournament berths. Blair was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
Kristy Lynn Curry is the head coach of the University of Alabama's women's basketball team, the Crimson Tide. She took the job in 2013.
Cari Groce is a former coach of Texas Tech's women's tennis team. Her time coaching the team ended before the 2008/09 season. Her record with the Lady Raiders stands at 58–44 with only a single winning season in the Big 12.
Thomas Fitzgerald Stone is an American former soccer player and current head coach of the Texas Tech women's soccer team. He played and coached soccer at the youth, collegiate and professional levels. Stone, a former graduate of Duke University and member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, held various coaching positions before coming to Tech.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball team represents Texas Tech University in basketball. Texas Tech competes in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), and has been a charter member of the Big 12 Conference since its first season in 1996. The team previously competed in the Border Conference and Southwest Conference. The team was founded in 1925, having since won 13 regular season conference championship, and made 19 appearances in the NCAA Tournament as of the 2021–22 season. The Red Raiders have played their home games at the United Supermarkets Arena since 1999 on the university's campus in Lubbock, Texas. The Red Raiders are coached by Mark Adams who began his first season as head coach in the 2021–22 season.
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and Lady Techsters, commonly abbreviated La. Tech and Dawgs, refer to the sports teams of Louisiana Tech University, in Ruston, Louisiana. The teams compete in Division I of NCAA sports. Since 2013, Louisiana Tech has been a member of Conference USA (C-USA).
