Tom Csipkay is an American former professional tennis player. [1]

Biography

Csipkay, one of six siblings, grew up in Wyckoff, New Jersey. His elder brother Bill played professionally and one of his sisters Mary Ann was the women's head coach at Indiana State for 11 years. [2] [3]

A New Jersey state champion, Csipkay played collegiate tennis for Indiana State, graduating in 1982. [4] [5]

On the professional tour he had a doubles semi-final appearance at the 1983 Head Classic in Stowe with brother Bill, beating fourth seeds Vijay Amritraj and John Fitzgerald en route. He and Bill featured in the men's doubles main draw of the 1983 US Open, where they lost in the first round to another sibling pairing of Vijay and Anand Amritraj. [6]

Prakash Amritraj is an Indian-American former professional tennis player, who represented India in international tournaments. He is the son of former Indian tennis player Vijay Amritraj.

Zeeshan Ali is a former Indian Davis Cup player who also competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. The right-hander reached his highest singles ATP ranking on 12 December 1988, when he became the number 126 of the world when he was still 3 weeks short of his 19th birthday.

Anand Amritraj is a businessman and former Indian tennis player. He along with brother Vijay Amritraj led India into the 1974 Davis Cup finals against South Africa, and was a part of the Indian team captained by Vijay Amritraj which reached the final of the Davis Cup in 1987 against Sweden.

Charles Manuel Pasarell Jr. is a Puerto Rican former tennis player, tennis administrator and founder of the current Indian Wells tournament. He was ten times ranked in the top ten of the U.S. and No. 1 in 1967 and world No. 11 in 1966. Representing the United States as a player, he has been heavily engaged in the administration of the professional game from the inception of the ATP in 1972 and has been Vice President when he was still playing and until recently on the Board of Directors representing the Americas tournaments.
