The "C" Branch, also called the Beacon Street Line or Cleveland Circle Line, is one of four branches of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Green Line light rail system in the Boston, Massachusetts metropolitan area. The line begins at Cleveland Circle in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston and runs on the surface through Brookline along the median of Beacon Street. Reentering Boston, the line goes underground through the St. Marys Street Incline and joins the "B" and "D" Branches at Kenmore. Trains run through the Boylston Street Subway to Copley where the "E" Branch joins, then continue through the Tremont Street Subway to downtown Boston. As of 2017, the "C" Branch terminates at North Station; further service to Lechmere is provided by the "E" Branch.

The Boston Beacons were a United States soccer team from Boston. In 1968 they were founding members of the North American Soccer League, but folded after just one season. The Beacons were a relaunch of the United Soccer Association team Boston Rovers. They played their home games at Fenway Park.

Boston Shamrock Rovers were a United States soccer team that competed in the United Soccer Association league in 1967. The team was based in Lynn, Massachusetts and played their home games at the Manning Bowl. The USA league was made up of rosters from club teams from Europe and South America. The Boston Rovers were made up of the roster from League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers, plus some guests. Together with Cleveland Stokers, Detroit Cougars, New York Skyliners, Toronto City and Washington Whips, Rovers competed in the Eastern Division. These teams were Stoke City, Glentoran, C.A. Cerro, Hibernian and Aberdeen respectively.

American Soccer League (1933–1983) association football league

The American Soccer League has been a name used by four different professional soccer sports leagues in the United States. The second American Soccer League was established in summer 1933 following the collapse of the original American Soccer League, which lasted from 1921 until spring 1933. The new league was created on a smaller scale and with smaller budgets. This league existed until over-expansion and financial limitations led to its collapse in 1983. A successor league with the same name operated between 2014 and 2017.
