Tomorrow is a 2019 computer animated Bangladeshi short film directed by Mohammad Shihab Uddin [1] which was released in 2019 on Deepto TV. [2] The film is produced by Kazi Zahin Hasan and Kazi Zeeshan Hasan for Kazi Media Limited while Cycore Studios provided the animation and production services for the film. [3] The main purpose of the film is to explain the climate change crisis to children. [4] It won the best animation film award at Cannes world film festival for the month of August, 2021. [5]

Plot

A young boy named Ratul in Bangladesh, is magically shown two very different visions of the future. In the first scenario, Bangladesh has been inundated by rising sea levels, causing great suffering. In the second scenario, fossil fuels have been replaced by renewable energy and Bangladesh is prosperous.

The film explains that burning fossil fuels causes climate change, and that the climate crisis can be solved by taxing fossil fuels so that fossil fuels are replaced with renewable energy and nuclear power.

Release

The short film originally released on Deepto TV, a Bangladeshi satellite television in 29 November 2019. [6] [7] After about one month, it was officially released on YouTube. [8]

Operation Sundarbans or Operation Sundarban is a Bangladeshi wildlife action thriller movie. The film is co-written and directed by Dipankar Sengupta Dipon. It is a Bangladesh Government and Impress Telefilm funded joint venture film, based on a journey of an undertaker. Rehana Maryam Noor is a 2021 Bangladeshi film. The film is directed by Abdullah Mohammad Saad and produced by Jeremy Chua under the banner of Metro Video and co-produced by Sensemakers Productions. The film is about the struggling life of a 37-year-old assistant professor of a medical college. It was internationally distributed by German-based sales and distribution company Films Boutique. In 2021, it was selected in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. It is the first Bangladeshi film to be featured in this category. Mujib Amar Pita is a 2021 Bangladeshi computer-animated biography drama film. It was the first full-length Bangladeshi animated film. The film was directed by Sohel Mohammad Rana. It was Produced by Prolancer Studio & BMIT Solutions and was distributed by ICT Division. The film is based on Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita a book written by Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the recent Prime Minister of Bangladesh. The film was released on October 1, 2021.
