Rudolpho A. "Tony" Jaramillo (born August 16,1978) is a former assistant hitting coach for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball.
In 1985,Jarmaillo's parents were arrested for distributing heroin. He was raised by his uncle,Rudy Jaramillo,in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas. [1]
Jaramillo played in Minor League Baseball from 1998 through 2003. He then became a minor league coach,and joined the Reds organization in 2008. He spent the 2013 through 2015 seasons with the Louisville Bats of the Class AAA International League. After the 2015 season,the Reds promoted him to their major league coaching staff as assistant hitting coach. [2]

While primarily a second baseman,Cairo was able to play all the infield positions and as a corner outfielder. He was also used for pinch-hitting duties late in his career.

Jaramillo graduated from Dallas's Sunset High School in 1970 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He is best known for being a hitting coach at the major league level,most recently for the Chicago Cubs. During his time with the Texas Rangers,Jaramillo was the first individual in Rangers history to serve more than eight seasons on their major league coaching staff. He served as the Rangers' major league hitting coach for 15 seasons,from 1995 to 2009. Jaramillo also had the longest tenure with one team as a hitting coach in Major League Baseball (MLB). Jaramillo has been credited for the development of players such as Jeff Bagwell,Juan González,Adrián González,Iván Rodríguez,Mark Teixeira,and Michael Young,among others.

During his junior and senior seasons in high school,Hallberg did not strike out once. He then batted .362 in his three-year college career. In 2006,he was the toughest batter in the NCAA to strike out,at once every 36 at bats. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Hallberg in the ninth round of the 2007 MLB draft. He played five seasons in the minor leagues,before turning to coaching and managing. He is currently the third base coach for the San Francisco Giants.
