Guyana, officially the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is a country on the northern mainland of South America. Linden, Guyana Town in Upper Demerara-Berbice, Guyana

Linden is the second largest city in Guyana after Georgetown, and capital of the Upper Demerara-Berbice region, located at 6°0′0″N58°18′0″W, altitude 48 metres (160 feet). It was declared a town in 1970, and includes the communities of MacKenzie Christianburg, and Wismar. It lies on the Demerara River and has a population of roughly 29,298. It is primarily a bauxite mining town, containing many mines 60–90 metres deep, with many other pits now in disuse.

Slingerz FC

Slingerz FC is a Guyanese football club based in Vergenoegen. The club competes in the West Demerara Senior League, one of several regional leagues in Guyana. Founded in 2013, the club never qualified for the GFF National Super League, the top football league in Guyana at the time. However, the team has been very successful in Guyana's many cup competitions, including winning the Mayors Cup, Guyana's top cup competition, in 2015 after finishing runners-up in the previous tournament in 2013. The team has also finished champions or runners-up in several smaller cup competitions.

Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League is the top football division in Guyana. It replaced the GFF National Super League as Guyana's top division after that league went on hiatus for the 2014–15 season. Its inaugural season consisted of 8 of the 11 FIFA licensed teams from Guyana. The league expanded to 10 teams for its second season, but four teams pulled out before the season began.

Fruta Conquerors FC is a Guyanese football club based in Georgetown. The club competes in the GFF Elite League, the top league of football in Guyana. They were league champions in the 2000–01. The club is named for their sponsor, the beverage company Fruta. They were an inaugural member of the Elite League in 2015–16.

Monedderlust FC is a Guyanese football club based in Berbice, competing in the GFF Elite League, the top tier of Guyanese football. They competed in the inaugural season of the Elite League in 2015.

Pele FC

Pele FC is a Guyanese football club based in Georgetown, competing in the GFF Elite League, the top tier of Guyanese football. The club was founded in 1971 and is named after Brazilian football legend Pelé.
