Tore Elias Hoel (born 14 December 1953 in Harstad, Norway) is a Norwegian poet, author and children's author.

Norwegian literature is literature composed in Norway or by Norwegian people. The history of Norwegian literature starts with the pagan Eddaic poems and skaldic verse of the 9th and 10th centuries with poets such as Bragi Boddason and Eyvindr Skáldaspillir. The arrival of Christianity around the year 1000 brought Norway into contact with European medieval learning, hagiography and history writing. Merged with native oral tradition and Icelandic influence, this was to flower into an active period of literature production in the late 12th and early 13th centuries. Major works of that period include Historia Norwegie, Thidreks saga and Konungs skuggsjá.

Arktikugol is a Russian coal mining unitary enterprise which operates on the island of Spitsbergen in Svalbard, Norway. Owned by the government of Russia, Arktikugol currently performs limited mining in Barentsburg. It has carried out mining operations in the towns of Pyramiden and Grumant, which it still owns, and once operated a port at Colesbukta. The company is headquartered in Moscow and is the official agency through which Russia, and previously the Soviet Union, exercised its Svalbard policy.
Britt Karin Larsen is a Norwegian poet, author and government scholar. Larsen debuted as a poet in 1978 with 5 mg blues og andre dikt, and has published many poetry collections and novels since. She is best known for her novel trilogy about Norwegian and Swedish Travellers, De som ser etter tegn (1997), De usynliges by (1998) and Sangen om løpende hester (1999). The trilogy has been called a literary monument for Romany people in Norway. Larsen was given the Norsk PEN's highest freedom prize, the Ossietzky-prisen, in 2000.

Wera Sæther is a Norwegian psychologist, poet, novelist, essayist, writer of books for youth and of documentary books. She made her literary debut in 1974 with the poetry collection Barnet og brødet. Sæther was awarded the Gyldendal's Endowment in 1979. She was awarded the Dobloug Prize in 1996.
Lisbeth Longfrock is a classical work of Norwegian literature, by the author Hans Aanrud, published in 1903. It was translated into English in 1907 by Laura E. Poulsson, and illustrated by Norwegian artist Othar Holmboe. Aanrud's classic novel was translated again in 1935, under the title Sidsel Longskirt: A Girl of Norway. Illustrated by the famed artists Ingri and Edgar Parin d'Aulaire, this later translation was produced by The John C. Winston Company of Philadelphia.
Erling Kittelsen is a Norwegian poet, novelist, children's writer, playwright and translator. He made his literary debut in 1970 with the poetry collection Ville fugler. Kittelsen was part of the poetic action group "Stuntpoetene" during the 1980s, along with Jón Sveinbjørn Jónsson, Triztán Vindtorn, Arne Ruste, Thorvald Steen, Karin Moe, Torgeir Rebolledo Pedersen and others.
Tore Hamsun was a Norwegian painter, writer, and publisher born in Hamarøy. He was the son of the Nobel Prize winning novelist Knut Hamsun and actress Marie Hamsun.

He is renowned for his significant contribution to making Norwegian literature accessible to an English-speaking audience, for which he was awarded the St. Olav's Medal in 1987 and the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, Knight's Cross, First Class in 2004. He is best known for his translations of and commentaries on the works of Knut Hamsun, which are widely credited for helping to popularise Hamsun's work in the US and UK.
Sinners in Summertime is a 1934 Norwegian drama film directed by and starring Einar Sissener. It also featured Tore Segelcke and Hans Jacob Nilsen and marked the debut of the future star of German cinema Kirsten Heiberg. It is based on the 1927 novel of the same title by Sigurd Hoel.
