The Tositsa Baron Museum of Metsovo, also known as the Tositsa Museum is a folk art museum in Metsovo, Ioannina, Greece.
Ioannina, often called Yannena within Greece, is the capital and largest city of the Ioannina regional unit and of Epirus, an administrative region in north-western Greece. According to the 2011 census, the city population was 65,574, while the municipality had 112,486 inhabitants. Ten years later, the population of the city had seen a minor increase to 113,978 inhabitants. It lies at an elevation of approximately 500 metres above sea level, on the western shore of Lake Pamvotis (Παμβώτις). Ioannina is located 410 km (255 mi) northwest of Athens, 260 kilometres southwest of Thessaloniki and 80 km east of the port of Igoumenitsa in the Ionian Sea.

This cheese, along with Metsovela, is one of the most popular culinary attractions of Metsovo. These cheeses are produced in the Tositsa Foundation Cheese Factory of Metsovo.

Egnatia is a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Metsovo, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 131.424 km2. In 2011 its population was 2,331. The seat of the municipality was in Mikro Peristeri. The municipal unit is connected with both the GR-6/E92 and the new Via Egnatia.
Lyngos(Greek: Λύγκος), also transliterated as Lygos, is a remote mountain range in the eastern Ioannina and the western Grevena regional unit in northwestern Greece. It is a part of the Pindus mountain range. Its highest point is the Avgo, at 2,177 m elevation. The Lyngos mountains lie in a horseshoe shape around the Valia Kalda valley, which exits towards the Aoos valley to the west. The Valia Kalda is part of the Pindus-Valia Kalda National Park, founded in 1966. It is one of the coldest and wettest regions of Greece. The mountains are densely forested, with alpine meadows in the highest elevations.
The Katara Pass or Metsovo Pass is a mountain pass in the Pindus mountains in northern Greece. It is 5 km northeast of the town Metsovo. Situated on the border of Epirus and Thessaly, it forms the divide between the river basins of the Aoos to the southwest and the Pineios to the east. Its elevation is about 1,705 m (5,594 ft) making it one of the highest in the nation. The Greek National Road 6 crosses the Katara Pass. With the opening of the Egnatia Odos motorway which passes through tunnels further south, traffic has sharply declined.

The Averoff Gallery, also known as the Averof Art Gallery of Metsovo, is an art museum in Metsovo, Greece. It was built in 1985 and inaugurated in 1988. In 1994 the building was extended to include a new wing and its facilities were updated. Its initial collection consisted of 200 paintings and sculptures of Greek artists of the 19th and 20th century, which are still part of its permanent exhibition. After the museum's expansion, the collection was significantly augmented.
The University of Ioannina is a university located 5 km southwest of Ioannina, Greece. The university was founded in 1964, as a charter of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and became an independent university in 1970.
The National Stadium of Ioannina, more commonly known as Zosimades Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium based on Ioannina, Greece and named after the 18th-century Zosimades brothers, benefactors of the city. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home of PAS Giannina. The rock band Scorpions held a concert in the Zosimades Stadium in 2010.
Michael Tositsas was a national benefactor from modern-day Greece. He was an Aromanian. He was born in Metsovo in 1787, and in 1806 he took over his father's fur shop in Thessaloniki, together with his brothers. After developing his business significantly, he sent his brothers to Egypt to open a branch there while he opened branches in Livorno and Malta. He married Eleni Tositsa in 1818.
Theodoros Papagiannis is a Greek sculptor. His work is held by many collections and stands in public places in Greece and elsewhere, including his sculpture "The Runners" at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago.
Eleni Tositsa was a major benefactor to cultural and educational establishments in Greece, including the National Archaeological Museum and the National Technical University of Athens.
The Stoning of Stephen is a tempera and gold leaf painting by Philotheos Skoufos. Skoufos was active on the island of Crete. He traveled to Venice and eventually settled on the island Zakynthos. He was briefly a priest at the famous Greek church in Venice San Giorgio dei Greci. Nineteen of his works have survived. Skoufos created notable copies of Damaskinos's paintings namely The Stoning of Stephen and The Beheading of John the Baptist.
