Tracy Silna Zur is a Freeholder in Bergen County, New Jersey.

Bergen County is the most populous county in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2017 Census estimate, the county's population was 948,406, an increase of 4.8% from the 2010 United States Census, which in turn represented an increase of 20,998 (2.4%) from the 884,118 counted in the 2000 Census. Located in the northeastern corner of New Jersey and its Gateway Region, Bergen County is part of the New York City Metropolitan Area and is directly across the Hudson River from Manhattan, to which it is connected by the George Washington Bridge.

Personal life and education

Silna Zur holds a B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from Fordham University. She is pursuing a Master's in Public Policy from Rutgers University. Silna Zur has three children with her husband, Bobby. [1] She is a resident of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. [2]

Career

In addition to working in private practice, Silna Zur has served as a judge, prosecutor, and public defender. Silna Zur has also worked as legal counsel for Congressman Bill Pascrell, and served on the Bergen County Utilities Authority. [1]

Bill Pascrell American politician

William James Pascrell Jr., is the U.S. Representative for New Jersey's 9th congressional district. He represented New Jersey's 8th congressional district from January 1997 until the redistricting of January 2013, and is a member of the Democratic Party. The district includes Pascrell's hometown of Paterson as well as parts of Passaic, Bergen and Hudson Counties.

Silna Zur was elected to the Bergen County Board of Freeholders in 2012. Her election, along with that of Steven Tanelli, helped Democrats take control of the Board of Freeholders. Both Zur and Tanelli got eeelexted in the 2018 Midterm Election. [3]
