Trampled – The Elefant Traks Remix Album by various artists is the first compilation remix album via Australian hip hop label, Elefant Traks, and was released in August 2006. [1] The label's artists remixed tracks by fellow label mates from the previous eight years. [1]

Elefant Traks is a record label based in Sydney, Australia, that predominantly releases Australian hip hop music. The label is distributed in Australia by Inertia Distribution.

The album was released as an 18-track CD, with three tracks from the CD also featuring on a limited edition 7-track vinyl 12" bonus disc, together with four additional remix tracks, by Astronomy Class, F&d (Mnemonic Ascent), Fame and Pasobionic.

Astronomy Class are an Australian hip-hop / reggae group from Sydney. The group comprises Ozi Batla, Sir Robbo and Chasm.

Mnemonic Ascent is an Australian hip hop group made up of BVA, and Raph Boogie from Adelaide with DJ Ransom from Melbourne. They release their albums through Raph Boogie's Crookneck Records.

On the album Plutonic Lab remixes Hermitude, who in turn remix The Herd. The Herd members such as Sulo, Unkle Ho, Traksewt and Urthboy remix the likes of TZU, Sparrow Hill and Waiting for Guinness. Co-nominees of Triple J’s inaugural J Award Pivot recondition The Herd, as do Curse Ov Dialect and Combat Wombat. Count Bounce and Yerock (TZU) overhaul Urthboy, and "I Was Only 19" is remixed by UK folktronica act Tunng.

Hermitude is an Australian electronic hip hop duo, originating from the Blue Mountains, New South Wales.

The Herd is an Australian hip hop group formed in Sydney, Australia. The group employs a "full band" format and is recognised for its live shows. The Herd is composed of Ozi Batla, Urthboy, Berzerkatron (MCs), Unkle Ho (beats), Traksewt, Sulo, Toe-Fu (guitar), Rok Poshtya (bass) and singer Jane Tyrrell. The band's songs often feature politically oriented lyrics.

Urthboy Australian Hip-Hop artist

Tim Levinson, better known by the stage name Urthboy, is an Australian hip-hop MC and producer from New South Wales. He is widely known for his solo music under the moniker Urthboy, as a founding member of the hip-hop group The Herd, and for co-founding and managing the Elefant Traks record label. Levinson has released five solo albums: Distant Sense of Random Menace (2004), The Signal (2007), Spitshine (2009), Smokey's Haunt (2012) and The Past Beats Inside Me Like a Second Heartbeat (2016); as well as five studio albums with The Herd.

In addition, the album version of The Herd’s cover of "I Was Only 19" featuring John Schumann is included, fulfilling the promise to core fans who had bought The Sun Never Sets album before it was re-released with the track.

John Lewis Schumann is an Australian singer, songwriter and guitarist from Adelaide. He is best known as the lead singer for the folk group Redgum, with their chart-topping hit "I Was Only 19 ", a song exploring the psychological and medical side-effects of serving in the Australian forces during the Vietnam War. The song's sales assisted Vietnam Veterans during the 1983 Royal Commission into the effects of Agent Orange and other chemical defoliants employed during the war. Schumann was an Australian Democrats candidate in the 1998 federal election, narrowly failing to unseat Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer for the Division of Mayo.

Kenneth Spencer Sabir, who performs as Traksewt, is an Australian musician, computer programmer, record label founder and event organiser. In 1998 Sabir co-founded an independent record label, Elefant Traks. In 2001, with his fellow label owners, he was an original member of hip-hop band, The Herd and is their producer. As of August 2011, The Herd have released five studio albums including Summerland (2008) which peaked at No. 7 on the ARIA Albums Chart and Future Shade (2011) which reached the top 30.

Joelistics is an Australian MC, producer and multi-instrumentalist, who is a member of the Melbourne-based Australian hip hop group TZU and a solo artist on the Elefant Traks music label.

Curse Ov Dialect is an alternative hip hop group based in Melbourne. It consists of Raceless, Volk Makedonski, Atarungi, and Paso Bionic. They were the first Australian hip-hop group to be signed to an American record label. They have been described as having a "wild theatricality with an urgent street politic, raw cultural expression with collagist, first generation hip-hop aesthetics, surrealism with activism."

Smokey's Haunt is the fourth studio album by Australian hip hop artist and member of The Herd, Urthboy. It was released on 12 October 2012.

Milwaukee Banks are an electronic hip-hop duo from Melbourne, Australia. The members are Edo (producer) and Dyl Thomas (vocals,raps).They emerged in late 2013 with the release of their first song, Pluto Bounce, which premiered on Interview Magazine. In 2014 the group was nominated for best emerging artist in the Music Victoria Awards in 2014.
