Trans FX is an American rock music band formed in 2011 by songwriters Chris McDonnell and Scott Young in Olympia, Washington. [1] They have released seven albums as of 2024 [update] , and continue to operate a revolving door, communal band, based in Olympia. [2] Their sound has often been compared to Lou Reed, Happy Mondays, Brian Eno, Primal Scream, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. [3] [4] [5]
Created in McDonnell's home studio, then Transfix, started as a self-proclaimed deathrock band, [6] consisting of members Scott Young (keyboards, vocals), Chris McDonnell (guitar, vocals), Nora McKinnon (drums), and Steve Sharrett (bass). [6] The band wrote and recorded a full-length album with Olympia-based recording company Dutch Tilt records, which was released on December 16, 2013. [6] The band's second studio album, Into The Blu, was released on K Records in the fall of 2015. [5] Into The Blu was a change in the band's sound and direction, as McDonnell and Young moved towards electronic pop and abbreviated their name to the current moniker, Trans FX. [5] Young left the band in 2015 to pursue a career in art. [1] In 2017, the band collaborated with fellow Olympians CC Dust on the CCFX EP, released on DFA Records. [7]
Riddle Box is the third studio album by the American hip hop duo Insane Clown Posse, released in 1995 on Battery Records and Island Records in association with Psychopathic Records. It is the third Joker's Card in the group's Dark Carnival mythology. It was released a second time by Battery Records and Jive Records. In 2008 it was re-released on a Riddle Box vinyl record. The album was the first Insane Clown Posse album in which the group worked with studio vocalist and guitarist Rich Murrell, who would work with the group throughout much of their career under the name Legz Diamond. It was released in four different versions, and earned a gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2008, Riddle Box was re-released on vinyl double LP format. In 2015, Psychopathic Records reissued the album in a 20th anniversary edition, featuring bonus tracks.
Psychopathic Records is an American independent record label headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The label is most associated with the hip-hop music subgenres horrorcore and rap rock. The label was founded in 1991 by Alex Abbiss and hip hop group Insane Clown Posse. The iconography of a man with a meat cleaver has been used for years as a symbol of the group, its fanbase, and its associates.

The concept, similar to the "heaven and hell" language of monotheistic religions, is the primary source of inspiration for Insane Clown Posse's two series of albums called Joker's Cards, each containing six albums.
Johnson Barnes III, better known by his stage name Blu, is an American rapper and record producer from Los Angeles, California. He performs as one half of the duo Blu & Exile, which was formed in 2007 and whom released their debut studio album, Below the Heavens in July of that year. He is also the forefront member of the California-based collective, Dirty Science. He is recognized for his collaborative albums with record producers Mainframe, Ta'Raach, Bombay, Damu the Fudgemunk, Madlib, Nottz, and Union Analogtronics. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the entire catalog of the group had sold 6.5 million units in the United States and Canada as of April 2007. The group has established a dedicated following called Juggalos numbering in the "tens of thousands".

Now based in New York City, the group currently consists of singer Kassie Carlson, drummer Peter Negroponte, guitarist Arian Shafiee, keyboardist Jake Lichter, and bassist Zach Lewellyn. Guerilla Toss has released five studio albums, seven EPs, and three remix albums, on various underground labels, DFA Records and more recently on Sub Pop. They were listed in Rolling Stone magazine as one of the "10 Great Modern Punk Bands" and Henry Rollins has called them "one of the first great bands of the new century".
