The transfiguration of Jesus is a story told in the New Testament when Jesus is transfigured and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain. The Synoptic Gospels describe it, and the Second Epistle of Peter also refers to it. It has also been hypothesized that the first chapter of the Gospel of John alludes to it.
Lorenzo Lotto was an Italian painter, draughtsman and illustrator, traditionally placed in the Venetian school, though much of his career was spent in other north Italian cities. He painted mainly altarpieces, religious subjects and portraits. He was active during the High Renaissance and the first half of the Mannerist period, but his work maintained a generally similar High Renaissance style throughout his career, although his nervous and eccentric posings and distortions represented a transitional stage to the Florentine and Roman Mannerists.
The Feast of the Transfiguration is celebrated by various Christian communities in honor of the transfiguration of Jesus. The origins of the feast are less than certain and may have derived from the dedication of three basilicas on Mount Tabor. The feast was present in various forms by the 9th century, and in the Western Church was made a universal feast on 6 August by Pope Callixtus III to commemorate the raising of the Siege of Belgrade (1456).

Lotto–Soudal is a Belgian professional cycling team at UCI WorldTeam level sponsored by the Belgian lottery and Soudal, an adhesives and sealants manufacturer. For the 2016 and 2017 editions of Paris–Nice, the 2018 Giro d'Italia, and the 2019 Tour de Pologne, the team raced under the name Lotto Fix ALL, and in a different colour of kit, to promote a particular product from the Soudal range. Van den Broeck specialised in the time trial discipline, having been Junior World Champion against the clock in 2001. The promise he first displayed in minor stage races like the Tour de Romandie and Eneco Tour was later validated and confirmed by top-10 finishes in all three Grand Tours: the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España.
Matthew Lloyd is an Australian former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2007 and 2014. Lloyd is the first Australian cyclist to win a King of the Mountains competition in a grand tour.

Frederik Frison is a Belgian professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Lotto–Soudal. He rode first for the Lotto–Soudal U23 team, where he had some success in the first part of the 2015 season. He was then signed to the senior team as a stagiaire; he rode races including the 2015 Tour of Britain and the 2015 Paris–Tours. In December 2015, he signed a professional contract to ride for Lotto–Soudal from the 2016 season. In May 2018, he was named in the startlist for the 2018 Giro d'Italia. In August 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Tour de France.
James Callum Shaw is a British road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Riwal Cycling Team. He previously rode for Belgian UCI WorldTeam Lotto–Soudal in 2017 and 2018, having come through their Under-23 team, and SwiftCarbon Pro Cycling in 2019.

Florian Vermeersch is a Belgian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Lotto–Soudal. On 1 June 2020, Vermeersch was promoted from the team's under-23 development squad. Formerly, Vermeersch competed in cyclo-cross, in which he was highly successful. While being a professional cyclist, he also is studying history at Ghent University.
The 2021 season for Lotto–Soudal is the thirty-seventh season in the team's existence and the seventh season under the current name. The team has been a UCI WorldTeam since 2005, when the tier was first established.
