Trevino Forbes is a Namibian politician serving as Mayor of Walvis Bay since December 2020. Forbes the Vice President of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC).
Forbes joined the Independent Patriots for Change after its founding in August 2020. In the municipal election on 25 November 2020,Forbes was elected to the Walvis Bay Local Authority as the ruling party,SWAPO,lost their majority of seats on the council,winning only three out of the ten council seats. The IPC emerged as the largest party with four seats. Smaller parties,the Popular Democratic Movement,the Landless People's Movement and the Joint Walvis Bay Residents Association,won one seat each. On 30 November,Forbes was elected mayor of Walvis Bay after a majority of councillors had voted for him. He is deputised by fellow IPC member Saara Mutondoka. [4] [5] [6]
Walvis Bay is a city in Namibia and the name of the bay on which it lies. It is the second largest city in Namibia and the largest coastal city in the country. The city covers a total area of 29 square kilometres (11 sq mi) of land. The bay is a safe haven for sea vessels because of its natural deep-water harbour,protected by the Pelican Point sand spit,being the only natural harbour of any size along the country's coast. Being rich in plankton and marine life,these waters also drew large numbers of southern right whales,attracting whalers and fishing vessels.

The town is known for its aragonite marble quarries and the Navachab Gold Mine.
Khomasdal North is a constituency in Windhoek in the Khomas Region of Namibia. As of December 2019 it had 25,550 registered voters. The constituency consists of parts of the suburbs Khomasdal,Katutura,and Otjomuise. It had a population of 43,921 in 2011,up from 27,950 in 2001.

The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) is a political party in Namibia. It was founded by Panduleni Itula in August 2020. As an independent presidential candidate in the November 2019 election,Itula won the best result of a losing candidates ever in elections in Namibia. At the founding meeting on 2 August 2020 in Windhoek,Itula was elected party president,Brian Kefas Black chairman and Christine Esperanza !Aochamus general secretary. Vicepresident is Trevino Forbes.
