Trevor Jones Memorial Trophy

The Trevor Jones Memorial Trophy is a single match football competition held every pre-season at Kingsmeadow [ clarification needed ] in memory of Trevor Jones, [1] previously Kingstonian's Reserve Team Manager, who died from electrocution at the age of 34.

It was originally contested between Kingstonian and AFC Wimbledon; but after the 2009 edition AFC Wimbledon pulled out and The K's have played Woking and a Fulham XI. The first installment of this competition in July 2003 was known as the Kingsmeadow Cup, but the name was changed after Trevor Jones' death.

Plough Lane – named The Cherry Red Records Stadium for sponsorship reasons – is a football stadium in Wimbledon, south-west London, which has been the home of AFC Wimbledon since 3 November 2020. A groundshare with rugby league side London Broncos began in 2022.

The 2021–22 season is AFC Wimbledon's 20th year in their history and sixth consecutive season back in League One. Along with the league, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the 2021–22 EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022.
