Trio Van Gogh is a Danish sitcom, created by Rune Tolsgaard and Esben Pretzmann of Drengene fra Angora-fame. The series stars Mia Lyhne, Brian Lykke, Hjalte Flagstad, Jesper Rofeldt, Esben Pretzmann, Rune Tolsgaard, and also Simon Kvamm makes a short guest appearance.

The series is set as a documentary following the classical musical trio, Trio Van Gogh (a play on the name of the controversial Dutch director, Theo Van Gogh, who was murdered.) The trio struggles to break through, and they are faced with one disaster after another, due to all three members of the group being either incompetent, having troubles controlling their anger, or just plain stupid.

The series was broadcast in 11 episodes on DR2, the network that also broadcast several other Danish comedy successes like Casper & Mandrilaftalen, Wulffmorgenthaler, Dolph & Wulff, Drengene fra Angora etc.

Simon Kvamm is a Danish-Faroese actor and singer. He is best known as one of the founding members of the Danish rock band Nephew, where he is the lead vocalist and keyboard player. He is also well known for his acts in the Danish cult show Drengene fra Angora. He is also part of pop duo De Eneste To alongside Peter Sommer.

Casper & Mandrilaftalen, also known as Mandrilaftalen or Mandrillen, is a Danish Dadaist and satirical cult television sketch show that originally aired on DR2 from March 1st, 1999, to November 19th, 1999, across two seasons, comprising a total of 67 episodes. The Mandrilaftalen group consists of Danish comedians Casper Christensen, Lasse Rimmer, Lars Hjortshøj and Frank Hvam. Heavily inspired by British humor, the show became known for its eccentric characters and absurd sketches, leading to multiple TV critics comparing it to Monty Python's Flying Circus. The show is of a talk show format and is hosted by the character Casper, who is a fictionalization of and is played by the program's creator, Christensen. As the star of the show, Casper usually sits at his desk while satirizing the Danish media industry and interviewing fictional guests. Surreal nonsense is a recurrent characteristic of the show, an example being the character Broder Salsa, who folds carpets to resemble great state leaders and sorts capital cities by muesli. In the show, Casper also holds talent shows with fictional participants, presents episodes of fictional TV series and displays advertisements for fictional products. Rimmer, Hjortshøj and Hvam plays an array of various characters, and the show has guest appearances from other Danish comedians, the British Monty Python member John Cleese, the Danish actress Susse Wold, the rapper Al Agami, to name a few. Klovn ("Clown") is a Danish sitcom, which first aired on the Danish TV channel TV2 Zulu. It focuses on the life of the main character Frank and Casper. The show builds its comedy around quiet everyday situations, social awkwardness, uncomfortable silences and general faux pas.

Lise Rønne is a Danish journalist and television presenter, best known in Denmark for presenting four seasons of X Factor as well as two seasons of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. She is best known outside Denmark for presenting the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014.
