Truth and Lies is the third full studio album by the American rock group Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown. It was released on June 28, 2019.
In 2018, Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown began work on their second studio album for Snakefarm Records, initially writing a total of 55 songs to consider recording for the album. [1] The list was eventually narrowed down to 27 songs, which were rehearsed and demoed by the group at Bryant's home studio, the Bombay Palace. In January 2019, the group headed to Studio G in Brooklyn, ultimately recording 13 of the 27 tracks rehearsed, which were mixed by the group with the help of sound engineer and producer Joel Hamilton. [2] Also recorded for the album was "Out There", which Bryant had originally written in 2013, and had already recorded the vocal and resonator tracks for at his home studio in July 2018. The album was completed within two and a half weeks of recording.
The first single off the album, "On To The Next", was released on March 29, 2019. The track "Shock & Awe" was released as a single on May 24, its release being accompanied by a music video for the song which featured boa constrictors and Bryant playing in a bird skull mask. Truth and Lies was released in full on June 28, 2019. UDiscover Music gave the album a positive review, stating that it prove "Rock is Alive and Well". [3] Blues Rock Review also praised the album, giving it a score of 8.5 out of 10. The Rockpit praised the album for its variety in sound, and stated that Truth and Lies was the group's "best album to date". [4] Classic Rock listed the album at #36 on their 50 Best Albums of 2019 list. [5]
Truth and Lies also saw success in France, making Ouï FM's Top 40 songs. [6]

Derek and the Dominos was an English–American blues-rock band formed in the spring of 1970 by guitarist and singer Eric Clapton, keyboardist and singer Bobby Whitlock, bassist Carl Radle and drummer Jim Gordon. "Rock and Roll All Nite" is a song by American rock band Kiss, originally released on their 1975 album Dressed to Kill. It was released as the A-side of their fifth single, with the album track "Getaway". The studio version of the song peaked at No. 69 on the Billboard singles chart, besting the band's previous charting single, "Kissin' Time" (#89). A subsequent live version, released as a single in October 1975, eventually reached No. 12 in early 1976, the first of six Top 20 songs for Kiss in the 1970s. In 2008, it was named the 16th greatest hard rock song of all time by VH1.

Shakedown Street is the tenth studio album by rock band the Grateful Dead, released November 15, 1978, on Arista Records. The album came just over a year after previous studio album Terrapin Station. It was the final album for Keith and Donna Jean Godchaux, who left the band a few months after its release. The record was produced by Lowell George and John Kahn.
"Spoonful" is a blues song written by Willie Dixon and first recorded in 1960 by Howlin' Wolf. Called "a stark and haunting work", it is one of Dixon's best known and most interpreted songs. Airbourne are an Australian hard rock band formed in Warrnambool, Victoria in late 2001. Founding members are Joel O'Keeffe on lead vocals and lead guitar, his younger brother Ryan O'Keeffe on drums and David Roads on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. They were joined by Justin Street on bass guitar and backing vocals in mid-2004. Founded in Nashville, Tennessee by guitarist Tyler Bryant, the group has since released four successful studio albums, and has toured with such groups as Jeff Beck, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses and Lynyrd Skynyrd, as well as making appearances at several rock-themed music festivals. The group's current lineup consists of Tyler Bryant, Graham Whitford, Ryan Fitzgerald (bass), and Caleb Crosby (drums).

Beautiful Oblivion is the third studio album by American metal band Issues, released on October 4, 2019, on Rise Records. It serves as a follow-up to their second studio album, Headspace (2016) and was produced by Howard Benson. The album showcases the group's progression of experimenting with other musical styles and influences, using elements of nu metal, progressive metal and djent, and influences of neo-soul, R&B, funk, electronica and pop. This was the band's last album to feature lead singer Tyler Carter before his departure for allegations of sexual misconduct in 2020.
Say Nothing is the seventh studio album by Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman, released on January 31, 2020, through 604 Records in Canada and Atlantic and Roadrunner Records in the United States. The record contains lyrics about such issues as domestic violence and racism.
