Tucker Hollingsworth (born 1984, Boston) is an American photographer primarily known for his conceptual-based projects that engage questions of self-consciousness, [1] distortion, and attention. His photography has been described as "unusually poetic" [2] and blends aesthetic playfulness and technical curiosity. [3] Stylistically, many images are defined by high-keyed, jewel-tone colors [4] and range from semi-representational landscapes to the highly abstract, textured noise images.

The Walker Art Center is a multidisciplinary contemporary art center in the Lowry Hill neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. The Walker is one of the most-visited modern and contemporary art museums in the U.S.: together with the adjacent Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and the Cowles Conservatory, it has an annual attendance of around 700,000 visitors. The museum's permanent collection includes over 13,000 modern and contemporary art pieces, including books, costumes, drawings, media works, paintings, photography, prints, and sculpture.
Annie Gosfield is a New-York-based composer who works on the boundaries between notated and improvised music, electronic and acoustic sounds, refined timbres and noise. She composes for others and performs with her own group, taking her music to festivals, factories, clubs, art spaces and concert halls. Much of her work combines acoustic instruments with electronic sounds, incorporating unusual sources such as satellite sounds, machine sounds, detuned or out-of-tune samples and industrial noises. Her work often contains improvisation and frequently uses extended techniques and/or altered musical instruments. She won a 2012 Berlin Prize.
Skewed Visions is an arts company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota which produces site-specific performances and other multimedia works. Formed in 1996, by the artists Charles Campbell, Gülgün Kayim and Sean Kelley-Pegg, the group produces site-specific works that have sometimes been seen as controversial. The group may be best known for The Car, a 2000 performance that took place in cars driven by actors with the audience as passengers. Additionally, Skewed Visions has created original performances for a variety of sites including theaters, office buildings, a rooftop observatory, a former marble factory, a house, a storefront window, a former bombsite factory, a pedestrian shopping mall, and a farmer's market.
Alec Soth is an American photographer, based in Minneapolis. Soth makes "large-scale American projects" featuring the midwestern United States. New York Times art critic Hilarie M. Sheets wrote that he has made a "photographic career out of finding chemistry with strangers" and photographs "loners and dreamers". His work tends to focus on the "off-beat, hauntingly banal images of modern America" according to The Guardian art critic Hannah Booth. He is a member of Magnum Photos.

The Minnesota True Team State Meet was created in 1987 by the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association to determine the top overall team based on depth rather than top finishers. In a traditional track and field meet, only the top eight or nine competitors per event score points. In the True Team meet, each team has two competitors per event for A and AA and three competitors for AAA as well as one relay team, with each competitor scoring. Since 2005, Minnesota now holds a True Team State swim meet.

Allison Adelle Hedge Coke is an American poet and editor. Her debut book, Dog Road Woman, won the American Book Award and was the first finalist of the Paterson Poetry Prize and Diane DeCora Award. Since then, she has written five more books and edited eight anthologies. She is known for addressing issues of culture, prejudice, rights, the environment, peace, violence, abuse, and labor in her poetry and other creative works.
Megan Rye is an American painter, living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She studied at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), earning a BFA in Painting in 1998, with an Art History concentration. Her senior year at RISD was spent in Rome, as a participant in the European Honors Program. She was awarded an MFA in Painting from the University of Minnesota in 2003, where she received a Graduate School Fellowship. In 2005 Rye was a resident at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine.
Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay is a Minnesota-based Lao American spoken word poet, playwright, and community activist. She was born in 1981 in a refugee camp in Nongkhai, Thailand. She received her B.A. in English from the University of Minnesota, Morris. She is currently pursuing a Master in Liberal Studies focused on public policy and arts and cultural leadership at the University of Minnesota.
Malichansouk “Mali” Kouanchao is a Lao American visual artist, web and interactive designer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is the subject of a children’s book Mali Under the Night Sky. Her multidisciplinary works explore the relationship between art, transformation, and communal healing.
The Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program (MAEP) is a curatorial program at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts that exhibits the work of artists living and working in the state of Minnesota. It is the only program of its kind in an American museum. An elected artist panel representing the Minnesota artist community meets quarterly to select fellow artists to exhibit their work at the MIA. All Minnesota artists are eligible to submit proposals. Artists who exhibit at the MIA receive access to the museum’s professional support services.
