The National Assembly is the nation's legislature and has the power to make laws,as summarized in chapter one,section four of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria. The lower chamber is the House of Representatives.

Barewa College is a college in Zaria,Kaduna State,northern Nigeria. Founded in 1921 by British governor general Hugh Clifford,it was originally known as Katsina College. It switched its name to Kaduna College in 1938 and to Government College,Zaria in 1949 before settling on Barewa College. It is one of the largest boarding schools in Northern Nigeria and was the most-celebrated post-primary schools there up to the early 1960s. The school is known for the large number of elites from the region who attended and counts among its alumni include Tafawa Balewa who was Prime Minister of Nigeria from 1960 to 1966,four heads of state of Nigeria. The school is located along Gaskiya road in the Tukur -Tukur area of Zaria.

He entered the Nigerian mass media industry with his company,the DAAR Communications and set up the Nigerian TV network Africa Independent Television (AIT). He was the organising committee chairman of the People's Democratic Party national conference in 2015. As of March 2020,he was undergoing a trial on corruption charges. In May 2020,Dokpesi survived a COVID-19 infection. He suffered a stroke shortly after the 2023 Ramadan and died from a fall on his treadmill on 29 May 2023.

Mukhtar Shehu Idris is a Nigerian administrator and politician. He was the Governor-elect of Zamfara State in the 2019 gubernatorial election under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC). Five days to his inauguration as governor of Zamfara State the Supreme Court annulled the election of Idris and all APC candidates in the 2019 elections and ordered Independent National Electoral Commission to declare all first runners in the election who satisfied the requirements of the law winners of the polls. His major challenger for the nomination of the APC for the governorship election in the state,Kabir Marafa [marafan gusau] had gone to court on the grounds that APC in Zamfara did not conduct primaries and prayed the court to disqualify all candidates of the party in the 2019 polls. Opposition People's Democratic Party candidates who lost at the polls were declared winners and became the major beneficiaries of the crisis in the APC. In January 2020,APC approached the Supreme Court for review of its earlier judgment but in a ruling on the 27 of March,2020 the court declined a review of its own judgment which it said it is final and bidding on all parties in the case.
