Tummilla Lift Irrigation Project is a lift irrigation project located in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Telangana State in India. [1] It is being built at a cost Rupees 783 crores. Phase I of the project is expected to be completed by June 2018. [2] It comes under Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme. It is expected to irrigate 87,000 acres in 87,000 acres in Gadwal and Alampur. [3] [4]

Rajaolibanda Diversion Scheme or RDS is an irrigation project located across River Tungabhadra in Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana, Kurnool district of Andhra pradesh and Raichur district of Karnataka. It is an inter-state barrage on the Tungabhadra river to supply water to Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. The full reservoir level of this barrage is 332.32 m MSL.

The Upper Krishna Project (UKP) is an irrigation project across the Krishna River to provide irrigation to the drought-prone areas of Bijapur, Bagalkot, Gulbarga, Yadgir and Raichur districts in the state of Karnataka in south India. Jalayagnam or Jala Yagnam,, is a water management program in India. It has been implemented by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, India, Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy as an election promise to the farmers of the state to bring 8.2 million acres under irrigation in five years. Y.S.R has taken required approvals from central government and NGTL. Also other required permissions for all the projects before he died. Like Site clearance, environmental clearance, R & R clearance, wildlife sanctuary clearance, forest clearance and technical advisory committee clearance. By the time he supposed to execute projects on phase manner, Y.S.R died in accident. Subsequently there was other issues like state bifurcation came to high intensity, subsequent Chief Ministers failed to give priority for Jalayagnam.

The J. Chokka Rao Devadula lift irrigation scheme is a lift irrigation scheme in India. It is the second biggest of its kind in Asia. Devadula is the place in Warangal District, Telangana, where the scheme's intake well is located.

Polavaram Project irrigation scheme

Polavaram Project, is an under construction multi-purpose National project on the Godavari River in the West Godavari District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. The project has been accorded national project status by the Union Government of India and will be the last to be accorded the status. It's reservoir back water spreads up to the Dummugudem Anicut i.e approx 150 KM back form Polavaram Spillway on main river side and approx 115 KM in Sabari River side.It is located 40km to the upstream of Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage in Rajamahendravaram City. Thus back water spreads into parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha States.It gives major boost to tourism sector in Godavari Districts as the reservoir covers the famous Papikonda National Park, Polavaram Hydro electric project(HEP) and National waterway 4 are in under construction at left side of the river, The famous and feasible route to reach these nature and man made beauties is Rajahmundry - Seethanagaram road, Which is also lead to famous Papikondalu.

Dummugudem Lift Irrigation Scheme

Dummugudem lift irrigation projects are lift irrigation schemes under execution which are located near Dummugudem, Khammam district in Telangana, India. There are three lift irrigation schemes by names Rajiv Dummugudem lift irrigation scheme, Indirasagar Rudrammakota Dummugudem lift irrigation scheme and Dummugudem to Sagar tail pond canal project. Rajiv Dummugudem lift irrigation scheme starting at 17°54′05″N80°52′45″E is planned to supply irrigation water for 200,000 acres in Khammam and Warangal districts drawing Godavari River water from the Dummugudem pond. Indira Dummugudem lift irrigation scheme starting at 17°33′49″N81°14′49″E is planned to supply irrigation water for 200,000 acres in Khammam, Krishna and West Godavari districts drawing Godavari River water from the back waters of Polavaram reservoir.

Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi project is the longest water canal project in Rayalaseema, India. The project is conceived to provide irrigation facilities and reliable drinking water supply, by drawing flood waters from the Srisailam reservoir. The first phase commences at Malyala, and irrigates six lakh acres in four districts of Rayalaseema, while the second phase is set to provide irrigation facilities for and drinking water to Chittoor district. This canal links the Handri River, Penna River, Chitravathi River, Papagni River, Mandavya River, Bahuda River, Cheyyeru River, Gargeya River, Vedavati River, Palar River and many other rivers in the Rayalaseema region. Mid Manair Dam dam in India

The Mid Manair Dam is a major irrigation project under construction across the Manair River, at Manwada Village, Boinpalli Mandal, Rajanna Sircilla district, Telangana. It has a capacity of 25.87 tmcft with 25 radial gates. It has a capacity to irrigate 2,00,000 acres. It is now part of the prestigious Kaleshwaram project from which 2-3 tmcft water will be lifted and router to Mid Manair Dam. The project was completed in April 2018.

Mission Kakatiya

Mission Kakatiya is a programme for restoring all the minor irrigation tanks and lakes in Telangana State, India. The programme helps in rejuvenating 46,531 tanks and lakes, storing 265 TMC water across the state in five years. This is the first program to be taken up by the Government of Telangana after coming into power in June 2014.

Yadadri Thermal Power Plant or Yadadri TPS is an upcoming 4000 megawatt, supercritical thermal power project coming up at Dameracherla, Nalgonda district in Telangana, India. The project is second largest in South India, at a cost of ₹25,099 crores and is expected to complete by October 2021 in a phased manner. The state-owned Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO) is building the 5 x 800 mega thermal power station, built on 2800 acres near Veerlapalem Village in Nalgonda District, the second mega project announced by the Telangana government after Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant.

Dr. C. V. S. K. Sarma is an economist and a retired IAS officer with exceptional public service record. He served as an IAS officer from 1980 to 2013, and retired as the Agriculture Production Commissioner & Spl. Chief Secretary to Government, Agriculture & Coop. Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh. He was also the Vice Chancellor, A.P. Horticulture University before he retired.

Chanaka-Korata Barrage is an inter-State barrage on Penganga River. The irrigation project started jointly by Government of Telangana and Government of Maharashtra in March 2016. It will irrigate agriculture in the states of Telangana and Maharashtra. The project is expected to be completed in 2 years, by khariff of 2018.

Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project Irrigation Project

The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project(KLIP) is a multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in Kaleshwaram, Bhoopalpally, Telangana, India. It is world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation project. The project starts at the confluence point of the Pranahita River and the Godavari River at Kaleshwaram. The Pranahita River in itself is a confluence of various smaller tributaries including the Wardha, Painganga, and Wainganga Rivers. It is estimated that the Pranahita River has an annual average flow of 280 TMC. It remains untapped as its course is principally through the dense forests and other ecologically sensitive zones, such as wild life sanctuaries.
