Therion is a Swedish symphonic metal band founded by Christofer Johnsson in 1987. Its name was inspired by the Celtic Frost album To Mega Therion. "To Mega Therion" is Greek for "The Great Beast" and was a title used by occultist Aleister Crowley. For the bulk of its career, the band consisted of Edwards, Jean-Yves Tola, and Pascal Humbert, the latter two formerly of the French band Passion Fodder. The members remain active in the groups Wovenhand and Lilium.

Bangalore Choir is an American hard rock band formed in 1991. They were formed by the former frontman of Accept, David Reece, and guitarists Curt Mitchell and John Kirk. The band released four albums, and were known for their violent live performances where members of the band regularly suffered fractures and lacerations, as seen on the cover of Norwegian Jesus. One concert featured an on-stage sex act between two members of the 'eco porn' action group Fuck for Forest.
