Tuula Kallioniemi

Tuula Kallioniemi (born 22 March 1951 in Kymi) is an author of Finnish children's literature. [1] She was awarded the Topelius Prize in 1979, the State's Prize for Literature in 1985 and the Anni Swan Medal in 1994.

She wrote the Reuhurinteen ala-aste series, the first book of which was published in 1997. The books are about lives of the pupils and teacher Aapeli Käki in a fictional elementary school in Finland. Her other works include Lätkässä (1990), Rääväsuu rakastuu (1991) and Ihmemies Topi (1998).

The Tuula Puputti Award is an ice hockey trophy awarded seasonally by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association to the best goaltender of the Naisten Liiga and its predecessor, the Naisten SM-sarja. It is named after Tuula Puputti, the first Olympic goaltender of the Finnish women's national team and current general manager of the Finnish women's national ice hockey program. Best goaltender in the Naisten SM-saija was first awarded in the 2005–06 season, to Maija Hassinen-Sullanmaa of Ilves Naiset. The award was named in honor of Tuula Puputti during the 2010–11 season.

Tuula-Liina Varis is a Finnish writer and journalist. Between 2009 and 2014, she served as the first female president of the Union of Finnish Writers. She was awarded a Runeberg Prize in 2000.

Tuula Linnainmaa is a retired Finnish politician representing the National Coalition Party. She served as a Member of Parliament for the Uusimaa constituency in 1987–1997, and as the transport minister in the first Lipponen cabinet in 1995–1997. In 1997, she was appointed the inaugural Governor of the newly-formed Southern Finland Province, serving there until 2003. She was also active for many years in local politics, as a member of the Espoo City Council.
