Twilight Ophera is a symphonic black metal band from Finland. The band formed in 1996, and signed with British label Cacophonous the following year. [1] This label folded in 2000, and the group went through lineup changes before signing with Crash Music in the United States in 2003. [1]

Catamenia (band)

Catamenia is a Finnish black metal band founded in 1995 by Riku Hopeakoski and Mika Tönning in Oulu. They have been signed to Massacre Records since their first full-length release Halls of Frozen North in 1998. As of 2010, they have released nine albums, one EP, and one DVD. They are known for frequent usage of wolves in their album art, but the band is named after a kind of bird. Catamenia also means “menstruation”, which the band did not know until a fan pointed it out to them after the release of their debut album.

Lyijykomppania

Lyijykomppania is a Finnish heavy metal band. It was originally formed in 1981 by guitarist and vocalist Timo Rautiainen and drummer Esa Moilanen but was disbanded a short two years later in 1983.

Kotipelto

Kotipelto is a Finnish melodic power metal self-named band by Timo Kotipelto created during a hiatus in activity for power metal band Stratovarius. Kotipelto has been commercially well received in their native Finland, with a Top 10 single "Beginning" from his first release Waiting for the Dawn, and lyrics often concentrating on ancient Egyptian themes.

Velcra

Velcra was a Finnish industrial/electronic group, established 2000. Their music features female vocals on a background of heavily distorted guitars and marching beats with heavy use of sample loops.

Slough Feg is an American heavy metal band from Pennsylvania, formed in 1990 and currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Taking their name from the Celtic folklore-influenced comic book Sláine, the band released their self-titled debut album in 1996. Slough Feg combines influences from traditional heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Brocas Helm, and Thin Lizzy, as well as English folk metal band Skyclad.

Misery Inc. was a Finnish metal band, which was formed in Myrskylä, Finland, October 2001. Janne on guitar, Jukka on bass, Jonttu on drums and singer Jukkis. Their original plan was to make music without any lead guitars but then it turned out to be a bit boring. Teemu joined the band and so Misery Inc. were complete.

Deathbound was a death metal band from Vaasa, Finland. They formed in 1995 and split up in 2010. They were signed to Dynamic Arts Records and released four albums while active, the most recent being Non Compos Mentis (2010).

Twilight Guardians was a power metal band from Salo, Finland. Formed in 1996, they were most famous for their 2007 album Ghost Reborn, and also achieved minor notoriety for their 2006 cover of Madonna's 1987 single "La Isla Bonita", from their third album Sin Trade.

<i>Twilight Time</i> (album) 1992 studio album by Stratovarius

Twilight Time is the second studio album by the power metal band Stratovarius. The album was originally recorded and released in the band's native Finland as Stratovarius II in early 1992 by Bluelight Records, followed by a reissue in Europe with different cover art in October of that year by Shark Records. A third edition was issued in Japan in July 1993 by Victor Entertainment, renaming the album Twilight Time with yet another cover design; this is the most common version in circulation today. On the back cover, bass guitarist Jari Behm appears in a band photo and is credited with playing, but all bass parts on the album were actually performed by the guitarist and then-bandleader Timo Tolkki.

Cain's Offering is a Finnish power metal supergroup that formed in 2008.

Soulrelic were a Gothic melodic metal band from Finland who formed in 2003. The band decided to separate in 2007. They were signed to Spinefarm Records. They are also known as Kurakello, but the reason for this is unknown outside of the band. The group issued a statement on 24 March 2007 which stated that they saw no 'light at the end of the tunnel' for their project at that time after they had been dropped by their record label. However, the band stated it might be possible that they would write new material in the future.

<i>From Afar</i> (album) 2009 studio album by Ensiferum

From Afar is the fourth studio album by the Finnish folk metal and melodic death metal band Ensiferum, released on September 9, 2009 on Spinefarm Records. It is the band's first album to feature keyboardist Emmi Silvennoinen. The album was produced by Nightwish producer Tero Kinnunen and Victory Songs producer Janne Joutsenniemi. It was mixed by HIM producer Hiili Hiilesmaa. The limited edition of the album includes a cover of Swedish folk rock group Nordman.

Symfonia was a short-lived symphonic power metal supergroup formed in 2010 by Andre Matos (vocals), Timo Tolkki (guitars), Jari Kainulainen (bass), Mikko Härkin (keyboards) and Uli Kusch (drums). On February 18 of 2011, the band made its debut performance at Finnish Metal Expo. The band released its only album, In Paradisum, in March 2011.

Holy Ghost Revival

Holy Ghost Revival was an American rock band formed in 2001 in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Self-described as "heavy metal/folk rock/pagan glam," the band had a rotating lineup of musicians. Before disbanding in 2008, the line-up included Conor Kiley, Mikko Freeman (drums), Sebastian Sheldon, Jakes Bayley (bass), and Johnny O'Donnell (guitar). They released a number of LPs and singles on labels such as 1965 Records.
