Communication with submarines is a field within military communications that presents technical challenges and requires specialized technology. Because radio waves do not travel well through good electrical conductors like salt water, submerged submarines are cut off from radio communication with their command authorities at ordinary radio frequencies. Submarines can surface and raise an antenna above the sea level, or float a tethered buoy carrying an antenna, then use ordinary radio transmissions; however, this makes them vulnerable to detection by anti-submarine warfare forces.

HMAS Harman is a Royal Australian Navy (RAN) base that serves as a communications and logistics facility. Mount Santa Rita was a facility of the United States Navy in Bataan, Philippines. It was the U.S. Naval Link Station (USNAVLINKSTA) within the Philippines. There were approximately 15 people that were permanently attached to this station at any given time, while there were also seven Marine guards who rotated every seven days. These Marine Guards were members of Alpha Company Marine Barracks, Subic Bay. Other than military personnel, there were Philippine nationals that worked there as well.

The Millennium Transmitter is a 720 ft (219.5 m) tall mast owned by ABS-CBN Corporation and operated by Advanced Media Broadcasting System located at the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center, Mother Ignacia Street corner Sgt. Esguerra Avenue, Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City. Since September 13, 2022, the transmitter is being used by AMBS to serve as the platform for television transmission of ALLTV on analog Channel 2 and digital Channel 16. It was also used as the main transmission site for ABS-CBN-owned DWAC-TV Channel 23, the flagship station of ABS-CBN Sports and Action, before shutting down in 2020 and its frequency reassigned to Aliw Broadcasting Corporation and its radio station DWRR until it was relocated to Antipolo when the transmitter was upgraded by the end of 1999.
Naval Station Pascual Ledesma, also known as Cavite Naval Base or Cavite Navy Yard, is a military installation of the Philippine Navy in Cavite City. In the 1940s and '50s, it was called Philippine Navy Operating Base. The 9-hectare (22-acre) naval base is located at the easternmost end of Cavite Point in the San Roque district of the city. Via traffic lane, this naval establishment is next to the famous Samonte Park. It was the former extension of U.S. Naval Station Sangley Point which is now Naval Station Heracleo Alano. In 2009, it was named after Cmdre. Pascual Ledesma, a leader of the Philippine Revolution and the first Officer-In-Command of the Philippine Navy.
The ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines is the headquarters of the Philippine media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation and the television network of the same name. It houses the media conglomerate's divisions such as ABS-CBN News and ABS-CBN Entertainment and subsidiaries, broadcast facilities, offices, and ELJ Communications Center. It is also where the transmitter site of ALLTV is situated which was previously used by ABS-CBN before it became inactive due to the 2020 broadcast franchise renewal dispute with ownership of the transmitter and the land where it stands remain with the network. It occupies an area of 44,000 square meters including the ELJ Communications Center. It was originally built in 1968 and was then the most advanced broadcast facility in Asia. Today, it is now the country's largest and most technologically advanced media facility. Meanwhile, ABS-CBN's production facility is located at ABS-CBN Horizon IT Park in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
NAA was a major radio facility located at 701 Courthouse Road in Arlington, Virginia. It was operated by the U.S. Navy from 1913 until 1941. The station was originally constructed as the Navy's first high-powered transmitter for communicating with its bases across the U.S. and the Caribbean. During its years of operation NAA was best known for broadcasting daily time signals, however, it also provided a variety of additional services, using multiple transmitters operating on frequencies ranging from longwave to shortwave. The station also conducted extensive experimental work, including, in 1915, the Navy's first transatlantic transmission of speech.
