The Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix is considered the premier snowboard competition series in the United States, providing American riders a clear path to qualifying for the Olympics and progressing the sport.
It's tops on the list for riders and attracts the best of snowboarding from all over the country. Previous overall champions include Olympic gold medalists Hannah Teter, Kelly Clark, Shaun White and Ross Powers, as well as Olympic silver medalist Gretchen Bleiler.
Hannah Teter is an American snowboarder. She is an Olympic champion, having won the gold medal in halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy and silver at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. She also won bronze at the 2005 FIS World Championships at Whistler, British Columbia, and has six World Cup victories in her career. In January 2010, Teter was named to the US Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She won the silver medal in women's halfpipe at the Vancouver Games. Teter came in fourth at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Kelly Clark is an American snowboarder who won halfpipe gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Clark was born in Newport, Rhode Island. She started snowboarding when she was 7 years old, began competing in 1999, and became a member of the US Snowboard team in 2000. On January 25,2019 at the Winter Xgames in Aspen, she announced her retirement from the sport.
Shaun Roger White is an American professional snowboarder, skateboarder and musician. He is a three-time Olympic gold medalist. He holds the record for the most X-Games gold medals and most Olympic gold medals by a snowboarder, and has won 10 ESPY Awards.
With a $375,000 overall purse, it is one of the largest prizes for a snowboarding series. Over the span of the Grand Prix's lifetime, more than $4 million has been awarded to riders.
Every series stop is broadcast on NBC and NBC Sports Network.
The schedule for the 2013-14 season has not yet been announced but will include stops at Park City Mountain Resort, Mammoth Mountain, Northstar California and Copper Mountain (Colorado).
Park City Mountain Resort is a ski resort in the western United States in Park City, Utah, located 32 miles (51 km) east of Salt Lake City. Park City, as the ski resort and area is known, contains several training courses for the U.S. Ski Team, including slalom and giant slalom runs. During the 2002 Winter Olympics the resort hosted the snowboarding events and the men's and women's alpine giant slalom events.
Mammoth Mountain is a lava dome complex west of the town of Mammoth Lakes, California, in the Inyo National Forest of Madera and Mono Counties. It is home to a large ski area on the Mono County side.
Northstar California is a mountain resort in the western United States, located in Placer County, California, near the northwest shore of Lake Tahoe.

Rice’s biggest claim to fame was when he arrived at Snowboarder magazine’s Superpark contest at Mammoth Mountain and launched a 'mammoth' of a backside rodeo across a 117-foot gap jump. He has been considered "the Paul Revere" of the big mountain freestyle movement. In 2013, Rice was named the best contemporary snowboarder in the world by Red Bull; Rice was also hailed as one of the greatest snowboarders of all time by numerous writers and publications.
Louis "Louie" Vito is an American professional snowboarder. He is an Olympian, Winter X Games, and U.S. Grand Prix Champion.
The Chevy Revolution Tour is a snowboarding competition series created in 2005 by U.S. Snowboarding to bridge the gap between grassroots level and elite snowboarding competitions. The sole purpose of the Chevy Revolution Tour is to help young riders make the jump to elite level competition and to progress the sport of snowboarding
The U.S. Snowboarding Race to the Cup was created in 2005 by U.S. Snowboarding in order to provide a high-level domestic competition series for alpine snowboarders. All events are part of the annual NorAm competition circuit which includes races in Canada and the United States. The purpose of the U.S. Snowboarding Race to the Cup is to develop young alpine riders for World Cup level competition.
Shannon Dunn-Downing is an American snowboarder and Olympic medalist. She received a bronze medal in the halfpipe event at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, becoming the first American woman to win a medal in snowboarding. She finished 5th at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. She won a gold medal at the first Winter X Games in California 1997, and again in 2001.
Ellery Breck Hollingsworth is an American professional snowboarder from Stratton, Vermont.
The Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) is an annual show jumping series that comprises up to 15 rounds of competition hosted around the world. It brings together the top 30 riders in the FEI Jumping World Rankings.

Kaitlyn Brooke Farrington is an American former professional snowboarder who grew up on a cattle ranch near Bellevue, Idaho, and now lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. She won the gold medal in the women's half-pipe competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Prior to her Olympic debut, she competed in the 2010 European Winter X Games and won the gold medal.
Redmond "Red" Gerard is an American snowboarder and a 2018 Winter Olympics gold medalist of the 2018 United States Olympic team. Gerard was born and raised in Ohio, but currently lives in Silverthorne, Colorado where he has his own miniature snowboarding park in his backyard with a rope tow.
