UK Top 40

UK Top 40 was a charts-based programme which aired on Sundays at 6pm on the CBBC channel from 2002 to 2005. The Show relaunched in Autumn 2002 along with the new CBBC line up. The shows launch presenters were Konnie Huq and Adrian Dickson and the show was a huge success they continued it over for another series in 2003.

Series

Adrian and Konnie then both left the show after two series and it was seen as the end of an era. Many thought that the show would become interactive with a voice over but in 2004 it was revealed for the third series that Andrew Hayden-Smith would take over. With the series three rebrand the viewers left due to competition from Top of the Pops which moved to the same time slot.

Series 1 (2002–2003)

The first series was anchored by Konnie and Adrian and contained guests and more fun competitions and games and counted down the top 40 singles in the UK.

UK Top 40: CBBC Viewers Vote (Christmas 2002)

This special hosted by Adrian Dickson and a short report from Konnie Huq who was unavailable due to Blue Peter. This show is when the CBBC viewers get to vote for their favourite songs of that year. It also contained guests and competitions. This aired on Boxing Day at 10:45am on BBC One.

Series 2 (2003–2004)

The second series was reduced by 30 minutes and featured no games but it had a weekly competition and still had a celebrity guest to perform.

UK Top 40: CBBC Viewers Vote (New Year 2004)

This special hosted by Konnie Huq and Andrew Hayden-Smith (who was guest presenting for this special), Adrian was unavailable due to other commitments. This show is when the CBBC viewers get to vote for their favourite songs of that year. It also contained guests and competitions. This year it aired on New Year's Day at 2:45pm on BBC One.

Series 3 (2004–2005)

The final series was 1 hour again and featured competitions but no celebrity guests. It mainly counted down the top 40.

Time Slot

The original time slot was Sundays at 6:00pm for one hour, but in series two a new CBBC show called The Agents was put in that timeslot from 6:00pm–6:30pm so CBBC found as the current time slot was so successful they would reduce the show to 30 minutes and at the new time of 6:30pm.

Kanak Asha "Konnie" Huq is a British television and radio presenter, screenwriter and children's author. She became the longest-serving female presenter of the British children's television programme Blue Peter, presenting it from 1997 to 2008. She has been a presenter and guest of shows including the 2010 series of The Xtra Factor on ITV2.

The 2012 UK Kids Choice Awards took place on 1 April 2012 at 5:30PM. The show followed a similar format as the one in the United States, with seven unique categories for the UK. Voting started on February 20, 2012. Kids Choice Awards 2012 was viewed by 201,000 people.

The Voice UK is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The fourth series started on 10 January 2015. Emma Willis and Marvin Humes return as hosts, alongside coaches will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, and Ricky Wilson. Kylie Minogue did not return due to touring commitments and was replaced by Rita Ora. On 4 April 2015, Stevie McCrorie was announced the winner of the season making him the first winner to have received an all-chair turn in the blind auditions. This also marks Ricky Wilson's first win as coach.

The Voice UK is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The fifth series began airing on 9 January 2016 on BBC One. The series is hosted by Emma Willis and Marvin Humes, and are joined by coaches will.i.am and Ricky Wilson. Rita Ora did not appear in this series of the show after joining The X Factor and was replaced by Boy George. In addition, Sir Tom Jones did not return and was replaced by Paloma Faith, leaving will.i.am as the only coach remaining from the inaugural series.

<i>Big Brother: Over the Top</i> American reality television series

Big Brother: Over the Top (BBOTT) is a spin-off American reality television series of the show Big Brother that aired exclusively online. The show premiered on September 28, 2016, and ended after 65 days with a season finale on December 1, 2016, only on CBS All Access, an over-the-top subscription streaming service. The spin-off was officially announced by CBS on August 3, 2016, while Big Brother 18 was still in progress.

The CBBC Official Chart Show is a British children's entertainment series presented by Cel Spellman with Yasser Ranjha and Millie Lloyd as relief presenters. The show first aired on the CBBC network on 10 May 2015 and ended on 17 February 2017. The series was replaced by a new show taking over from April 2017 by The Playlist.

The Voice UK is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The sixth series began airing on 7 January 2017, with Emma Willis hosting the main show, and Cel Spellman presenting online spin-off show The V Room. It is the first series to air on ITV since its move from BBC One. will.i.am returned for his sixth series as a coach, Sir Tom Jones also returned to the show after a series hiatus, replacing Paloma Faith, and Jennifer Hudson and Gavin Rossdale joined as new coaches on the show, replacing Boy George and Ricky Wilson. Mo Adeniran won the competition, marking Jennifer Hudson's first and only win as a coach. Additionally, JHud became the first new coach to win on her first attempt, as well as, the first female coach to win a series of the show.

The Voice UK is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The seventh series began airing on 6 January 2018 and concluded on 7 April 2018. It was presented by Emma Willis on ITV. will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Sir Tom Jones return for their seventh, second and sixth series, respectively, with Olly Murs replacing Gavin Rossdale as a new coach for the series. Previous runner-up Jamie Miller replaced Cel Spellman as the presenter of companion show, The V Room, broadcast through the ITV Hub.
