UMA Music Group is a music industry corporation founded in 2015 to establish a mainstream infrastructure and artist environment that looks after the interests of self-signed, unsigned and otherwise independent artists. UMA Music Group operates out of London, England.

The activities of UMA Music Group include the Unsigned Music Awards, a major televised awards ceremony hosted in the UK by Laura Whitmore and Chris Stark; UMA Music, an online and print publication concentrating on the best of emerging music; and UMA Ventures, an investment company set up to invest in the careers of self-signing artists with a unique model focussing on creative control and copyright retention for artists. UMA Ventures was launched as a joint venture between UMA Music Group and Stephen Pell, chartered accountant and international tax specialist for the music and entertainment industry, and former Business Manager to the likes of Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix and Deadmau5.

Facedown Records Christian record label based in Fallbrook, California, United States

Facedown Records is a Christian rock record label based in Fallbrook, California that is devoted to hardcore punk and metalcore bands with a few death metal acts such as Immortal Souls and Indwelling. Founded by No Innocent Victim drummer Jason Dunn, the label started small with a number of 7" record releases by Overcome, Dodgin Bullets, and Born Blind. As the label grew, it was able to sign artists for full album deals. xDISCIPLEx and the Deal, who were both popular in the Christian and secular scenes, released material on Facedown, as well as Figure Four, One-21, and Point of Recognition. The label also signs straight edge groups such as xDEATHSTARx and xLooking Forwardx.

<i>The Sound of White</i> 2004 studio album by Missy Higgins

The Sound of White is the debut studio album by Australian pop singer-songwriter Missy Higgins, released 6 September 2004 by Eleven. It won the 2005 ARIA Music Award for Best Female Artist. Higgins had secured recording contracts with Eleven and Warner Bros. while still in high school, after winning a competition for unsigned artists run by radio station Triple J. Her winning song, "All For Believing", is included on this album. After a backpacking trip in 2002, Higgins toured and wrote songs during 2003. She wrote most tracks alone and collaborated on three songs, with Kevin Griffin, Jay Clifford and Clif Magness respectively. The Sound of White was recorded in 2004 with producer John Porter.

Lee Henry is a singer, songwriter and record producer from Harrow, London. Henry has been featured on the former MTV BASE number one video "Y Did You Leave?", which was released under his production pseudonym “Tru Menace".

The People’s Music Awards is the first global unsigned music awards. It was founded on 15 September 2008 by Managing Director Dylan Satow. Travis Porter is an American hip hop trio from Decatur, Georgia. The group consists of stepbrothers Ali and Quez and their friend Strap, whom they met in middle school. The three grew up together and in 2006 began exploring music. In November 2010 the trio signed with Jive Records. The group's biggest hits are "Ayy Ladies", "Bring It Back" and "Make It Rain", produced by longtime collaborators, production group FKi. Travis Porter released a biographical film titled Proud to be a Problem on May 18, 2010. Travis Porter has a YouTube channel with over 150 million views and a Twitter page.

<i>200 Po Vstrechnoy</i> 2001 studio album by t.A.T.u.

200 Po Vstrechnoy is the debut studio and Russian language album by t.A.T.u. It was released by Neformat Records and Universal Music Russia on 21 May 2001 in Russia, Ukraine, and Poland, and was re-released by Universal Music Russia worldwide on 23 June 2003. A re-released version featured new tracks and a new artwork, which was released on 15 February 2002. Created by manager and producer Ivan Shapovalov after the success of members Yulia Volkova and Lena Katina in the band Neposedy, the group managed to sign a deal with Universal Music Russia to produce their first album. It was recorded between 1999 and 2000, and was produced and co-composed by Shapovalov.

Kobalt Music Group is an independent rights management and publishing company. Founded in 2000 by CEO Willard Ahdritz, Kobalt acts primarily as an administrative publishing company, not owning any copyrights. Maybach Music Group Record label

Maybach Music Group (MMG) is a record label imprint founded by American rapper Rick Ross. Maybach Music Group albums are distributed by Atlantic Records, a division of the Atlantic Records Group. Atlantic took over distribution following the expiration of a deal with Island Def Jam. As of December 12, 2012, the label releases are now distributed by Atlantic Records. 19 solo and three compilation albums have been released by Maybach Music Group, including five certified Gold albums. Maybach is home to many successful artists such as Ross himself, Wale, Meek Mill, Omarion, Gunplay and Torch, among others. Uhuru were a South African musical group best known for producing the hit single "Khona" performed by Mafikizolo. Signed to Kalawa Jazmee, the band consisted of Nqobile Mahlanu (Mapiano), Sihle Dlalisisa, Xelimpilo Simelane (Xeli) and Themba Sekowe. Independently, Uhuru is best known for hit remixes like "Y-tjukutja" and "The Sound".

Unsigned Music Awards

The Unsigned Music Awards is an international televised awards ceremony held annually to recognise the achievements of artists that are not signed to a record label. The awards are part of UMA Music Group and were established in 2016 by Simon O'Kelly, Georgina Thomas and Ben Connor.
