Unified Music Group(officially stylized as UNIFIED) is an independently owned and Australian-based music company founded in 2011. The group has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Los Angeles, and Nashville.
UNIFIED Music Group manages the record label UNFD, the merchandise store 24Hundred, and music festivals such as UNIFY—A Heavy Music Festival and The Hills Are Alive. The artist management division represents talents including Vance Joy, Violent Soho, and The Amity Affliction. As of March 2018, UNIFIED's labels—UNFD, ONETWO, NLV Records, Exist. Recordings, THAA Records, and DOMESTIC LA LA—are distributed globally through Sony Music Australia. [1]
UNIFIED Music Group has four divisions that oversee various artists and music services.
UNIFIED owns and operates five record labels: UNFD, ONETWO, Domestic La La, NLV Records and Exist. Recordings. The label is home to artists such as Northlane, Hellions, Hands Like Houses, Tonight Alive, and In Hearts Wake. As well as overseas artists Architects, Beartooth, Hacktivist and Crossfaith, amongst others. ONETWO, launched in 2013, was formed as a collaboration between hip-hop artist Illy and UNIFIED. ONETWO boasts an all-Australian roster of artists including Allday, Citizen Kay and Kuren. NLV Records was founded by Australian artist Nina Las Vegas to become a go-to outlet for original and forward-thinking underground club music. Recordings were founded in 2017 by Australian artists, The Kite String Tangle and UNIFIED. They have since released music from its artists globally, including music from Lastlings, The Kite String Tangle and Golden Vessel. UNIFIED has provided label services in Australia for American label Hopeless Records for 11 years. UNIFIED also provides label services for House Of Beige, the independent label owned and operated by UAM management client REMI, and 1825 Records, a collaboration with Atlantic Records and Matt Emsell.[ citation needed ]
UNIFIED Music Group also runs a publishing service with Mushroom Publishing, formed in 2011. UNIFIED works to provide services for a number of artists, including Vance Joy, Illy, Northlane and many more. [2]

In 2016, the company launched The UNIFIED Grant. Announced by founder and CEO Jaddan Comerford in his BIGSOUND keynote speech, the UNIFIED Grant consists of five A$5,000 grants. The UNIFIED Grant aims to aid young individuals who want to work in music but don't play an instrument: photographers, producers, videographers, web developers, graphic designers, journalists, app builders, data analysts and others. UNIFIED Music Group's Merchandise Services division runs merchandise companies independently and in collaboration with Australian labels and companies. UNIFIED founded merchandise store 24Hundred in 2013, overseeing its development into an Australian online music merchandise store. In recent years, the division has collaborated with other companies to create additional merchandise stores, including STL Tones, The Music Vault, The Vinyl Store and more. [4]
UNIFIED Music Group launched UNIFY - A Heavy Music Gathering in 2015. The festival, held in Tarwin Lower, Victoria, Australia, boasted a lineup in its first year of The Amity Affliction, Northlane. Also, Thy Art Is Murder, Deez Nuts and more. In subsequent years, the festival has grown in capacity and reputation. The 2018 instalment of the festival featuring Parkway Drive, Architects, and The Amity Affliction sold out in less than one week after the announcement.[ citation needed ] [5]
In 2015, UNIFIED opened its London office, marking its first international expansion. The office focuses on international operations, including a flagship online store and access to The Orchard’s global distribution net.[ citation needed ]
In 2016, UNIFIED launched a full-time touring company with Live Nation Australia, UNIFY Presents. Since its inception, this division has run large-scale Australian tours such as Bring Me the Horizon's 2016/2017 tour, Architects' 2017 tour, A Day To Remember's Bad Vibes Tour, Enter Shikari's Redshift Tour, Northlane and In Hearts Wake's Equinox Tour, and more.
In 2017, UNIFIED Music Group joined Live Nation and Secret Sounds to promote the first Australian instalment of Download Festival, taking place in Melbourne in March 2018. The lineup includes Korn, Prophets of Rage, Limp Bizkit, Mastodon, NOFX, Good Charlotte & more. [6]

Boomtown Records was an independent record label founded by Jaddan Comerford in October 2002 and based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2011 the label was rebranded with Staple Management to new company, UNFD.
Rise Records is an American record label currently based in Beaverton, Oregon, mainly focusing on alternative rock, heavy metal, and punk rock music artists.
Buried in Verona were an Australian metalcore band from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, formed in 2007. They have released five albums, the most recent being Vultures Above, Lions Below, released in August 2015. In August 2016, UNFD, their signed record company, announced on their Facebook page that the band was breaking up.

Hands Like Houses are an Australian rock band from Canberra. Formed in 2008, the group is currently signed to Hopeless Records and UNFD. Their debut album, Ground Dweller, was released on 13 March 2012, charting at number 141 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Their second album, Unimagine, was released on 23 July 2013, during their route on Warped Tour. The band's third album, Dissonants was released on 26 February 2016, followed by their fourth, Anon, on 12 October 2018.
Northlane are an Australian heavy metal band from Blacktown, formed in 2009. The band comprises guitarists Jon Deiley and Josh Smith, drummer Nic Pettersen and vocalist Marcus Bridge. Northlane have released six studio albums: Discoveries ; Singularity, which reached No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart; Node, a number-one album; Mesmer, Alien and Obsidian. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2015 the group won the Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album category for their album Node. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2017, the band won again with Mesmer. The band won the Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album category for the third time at the ARIA Music Awards of 2019 for their 2019 album Alien.
Singularity is the second studio album by Australian heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 22 March 2013 through UNFD and Distort. This is the last album to feature vocalist Adrian Fitipaldes before his departure in September 2014. It was produced by Will Putney and recorded at The Machine Shop in Belleville.

In Hearts Wake are an Australian metalcore band from Byron Bay, formed in 2006. The band comprises vocalist Jake Taylor, guitarists Eaven Dall and Ben Nairne, and drummer Conor Ward. They have released five studio albums: Divination, Earthwalker, Skydancer, Ark and Kaliyuga, which was released on 7 August 2020. The band's lyrical themes include environmentalism, environmental justice, spirituality, personal struggles, global warming, conservation, and other social issues.
This Could Be Heartbreak is the fifth studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. The album was released through Roadrunner Records on 12 August 2016. It is the first album without guitarist and founding member Troy Brady, following his departure in 2014. It is also the last album to feature drummer Ryan Burt after his departure in early 2018.
Ocean Grove are an Australian nu metalcore band formed in 2010. The band consists of the core trio of vocalist Dale Tanner, drummer/producer/guitarist Sam Bassal, and bassist/vocalist Brent "Twiggy" Hunter, alongside studio-only members Luke "Poochy" Holmes and guitarist/producer Matthew "Running Touch" Kopp.
Mesmer is the fourth studio album by Australian heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 24 March 2017 through UNFD, with no announcement prior to the release. It was produced by David Bendeth and recorded at The Barber Shop Studio in Hopatcong. It follows the group's slight departure from their metalcore roots and towards a more alternative and experimental sound, as established on their previous release, Node. It peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It is the last Northlane album to feature their founding bassist Alex Milovic as a member of the band.
Misery is the sixth studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. The album was released on 24 August 2018. It is the first album without drummer Ryan Burt, following his departure in February 2018. It is the first album to feature Joe Longobardi on drums. However, during recording and the release of this album, he was only a session drummer. He was not made official until the end of 2018. It is also the first album to feature Joel Birch performing clean vocals on some tracks on the album along with the album being a departure from the band's usual straight metalcore sound and instead included some electronic elements on top of the metalcore sound. It is the band's final album for Roadrunner and UNFD.
Void Of Vision are an Australian metalcore band from Melbourne, formed in 2013. The band consisted of vocalist Jack Bergin, guitarists James McKendrick and Mitch Fairlie and drummer George Pfaendner. Void of Vision have released four studio albums: Children of Chrome (2016), Hyperdaze (2019), Chronicles (2023), and What I'll Leave Behind (2024).
"Emotion Sickness" is a song by the Australian alternative rock band Silverchair. It was released as the first song on their 1999 album Neon Ballroom. At 6 minutes long, it is the band's third-longest song. Australian pianist David Helfgott makes a guest appearance on the song, along with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. In a 1999 interview with Metal Hammer, Daniel Johns said that "Emotion Sickness" is his favorite Silverchair song.
The Brave are an Australian metalcore band from Brisbane, formed in 2013. The band consists of guitarists Kurt Thomson and Denham Lee, drummer Brent Thomson, bassist Daniel Neucom, and vocalist Nathan Toussaint. They have released two studio albums: Epoch (2016), and Aura (2019).
Alien is the fifth studio album by Australian heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 2 August 2019 through UNFD. It was self-produced by the band themselves and recorded at Chris Blancato's Studio in Sydney, although Marcus Bridge's vocals were recorded at Electric Sun Studios in Arndell Park. The album's second single, "Bloodline", shows the group's continuity of slight departure from their metalcore roots and towards a more alternative and experimental sound, as established on their previous releases, Node and Mesmer. It also marks the group's first shift into different genres, as they blended into the album elements of nu metal, industrial metal and EDM. This is the last album to feature their founding bassist Alex Milovic, who only appeared on the track "Vultures".

Spawn (Again): A Tribute to Silverchair is a compilation album by various artists, released by UNFD on 17 November 2017. The album consists of covers of songs by the Australian rock band Silverchair and serves as a tribute to them.
Thornhill are an Australian heavy metal band from Melbourne, formed in 2015. The band currently consists of vocalist Jacob Charlton, guitarist Ethan McCann, drummer Ben Maida, and bass guitarist Nick Sjogren. Thornhill have released two studio albums: The Dark Pool (2019) and Heroine (2022), and two EPs: 13 (2016) and Butterfly (2018).
