Union Sportive Parisienne was a football club based in Paris, France. The club was founded circa 1897 and ceased operations in 1909. Red and black were the club colours. [1]

In the 1900s, the club participated in eight seasons of the Championnat de Paris organized by the Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques. [2] Five of the club's players played for the France national team in its early years, including three in the team's first match in 1904. [3] In 1908, US Parisienne participated in the Torneo Internazionale Stampa Sportiva, where they faced two clubs from Turin, Torino and Juventus. [4] Ahead of the 1909–10 season, the club ceased operations.

The Union of French Athletic Sports Societies (French: Union des sociétés françaises de sports athlétiques was a former sports governing body in France. During the 1890s and early 1900s it organised numerous sports including athletics, cycling, field hockey, fencing, croquet, and swimming. However it is perhaps best known for being the principal governing body of both football and rugby union until it was effectively replaced by the French Football Federation and the French Rugby Federation. The USFSA rejected any form of professionalism and were strong advocates of amateur sport.
