"Ugly" is a song from the album Next by American rock band Sevendust. Released in October 2005, the song had a fair amount of radio play.
The song was described by drummer Morgan Rose in an MTV.com interview as being a mixed bag with a "huge chorus, broken-down verses and really heavy bridges." [2]
The video for the song directed by PR Brown, which depicted the band in a dark alley and civilians being lured into a laboratory where they get their eyes taken out. It was the first music video that guitarist Sonny Mayo appeared on it.
The song reached #12 in the Mainstream Rock Chart.

Sevendust is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vince Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and rhythm guitarist John Connolly. After their first demo, lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and lead guitarist Clint Lowery joined the group. Following a few name changes, the members settled on the name Sevendust and released their self-titled debut album on April 15, 1997, which sold only 310 copies in its first week but ultimately achieved gold certification through touring and support from their label, TVT Records.
