Ulrika Francke is a Swedish executive and former politician who was president of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) between 2022 and 2023. [1]
Francke studied at Stockholm University. [2] She became the Vice Mayor of Stockholm as a Liberal Party politician between 1992 and 1999. During this time she was the city director of urban planning from 1992 to 1996 and the city director of streets and real estate from 1996 to 1999. [2] [3]
She spent 10 years as the CEO of Tyréns, a Swedish construction and civil engineering consultancy company, until 2017. [4]
It was announced in November 2020 that Francke had been elected by ISO member bodies to serve as the organisation's president starting in January 2022, becoming the first woman to have ever held the role. [5]
She was elected a fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in 1998. [6]

ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29, entitled Coding of audio, picture, multimedia and hypermedia information, is a standardization subcommittee of the Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It develops and facilitates international standards, technical reports, and technical specifications within the field of audio, picture, multimedia, and hypermedia information coding. SC 29 includes the well-known JPEG and MPEG experts groups, and the standards developed by SC 29 have been recognized by nine Emmy Awards.

Ellenor Andrea Andreen (1888–1972) was a Swedish physician, pacifist and feminist. As a physician, she specialized in the treatment of diabetes, combining dietary restrictions with insulin. A prominent figure in the Swedish women's movement, she became a council member of the Women's International Democratic Federation in 1945, later becoming a vice-president. She chaired the Svenska Kvinnors Vänsterförbund from 1946 to 1964. A strong proponent of nuclear disarmament, in 1953 she was awarded the Stalin Peace Prize.

The constituency was established as Skaraborg County in 1970 when the Riksdag changed from a bicameral legislature to a unicameral legislature.
