St Tiernach's Park is the principal GAA stadium of Ulster GAA located in County Monaghan, Ireland.
The Monaghan County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Monaghan GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Monaghan and the Monaghan inter-county football and hurling teams. Separate county boards are responsible for the promotion & development of handball, camogie and ladies' Gaelic football within the county as well as having responsibility for their representative inter-county players/teams. The current team sponsor of Monaghan GAA is Investec.
The Donegal County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Donegal GAA is one of the GAA's 32 county boards in Ireland. It is responsible for Gaelic games in County Donegal. The county board is also responsible for the Donegal inter-county teams. There are currently 40 clubs under the auspices of the Donegal County Board.

Brian McEniff is a former Gaelic football manager. Regarded as a Gaelic football Godfather-type figure, the high point of his managerial career was his masterminding of Donegal's 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final victory over Dublin. In his most recent spell as manager of his county team he led them to the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-finals in 2003.
The Donegal News is a twice-weekly local newspaper in the northwest of the island of Ireland, first published in 1902. Originally covering Derry, Northern Ireland, it moved across the border to Letterkenny, County Donegal, at the beginning of World War II and took on more of a Donegal focus. It is owned by the North West of Ireland Printing and Publishing Company, which was established in 1901 by the Lynch family, who also own several other papers in the region including the Ulster Herald, Fermanagh Herald, Strabane Chronicle, Tyrone Herald, and Gaelic Life. Its two editions had a circulation of 15,467 for the first half of 2010, with the Friday edition accounting for most of the figure. Its main competitors are the Donegal Democrat and Derry Journal. The paper, despite a 'rebranding' several years ago, continues to be known, for short, locally across the northern half of County Donegal as The Derry People.
The Donegal Senior Hurling Championship is an annual GAA competition organised by Donegal GAA among the top hurling clubs in County Donegal. The winner qualifies to represent the county in the Ulster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship. The County Final is usually played at O'Donnell Park in Letterkenny. The 2018 Champions are Burt.
The All-Ireland Ladies Club Football Championship is the ladies' Gaelic football competition for club football teams. The winners are awarded the Dolores Tyrrell Memorial Cup.

The North West of Ireland Printing and Publishing Company (NWIPP) is a family-owned newspaper group based in the Irish province of Ulster, on both sides of the border. The company was established in 1901 by the Lynch family with the launch of the Ulster Herald. The company expanded rapidly in the following years adding the Derry People and Fermanagh Herald in 1902; and purchased the Strabane Chronicle, which had been established in 1896. The Tyrone Herald was launched in November 2004, and a Monday edition of the Donegal News was also launched in November 2006. The company also publishes the weekly GAA paper, Gaelic Life, started in January 2007. The company is based in Omagh, County Tyrone. The group's circulation for the first half of 2010 was 53,038, making it one of the largest family-owned newspaper companies in Ireland.

The 2013 Dr McKenna Cup was a Gaelic football competition played under the auspices of Ulster GAA. The tournament features the 2012 All-Ireland Champions, Donegal, whose first game was put back for several days due to Donegal's team holiday in Dubai. Ahead of the tournament Queen's announced they were quitting in a controversy over their players being poached by other teams, though Ulster Council President Aogan Farrell had appealed for this practice to stop.
