Anupam Kher is an Indian actor, director and producer who works primarily in Hindi-language films. Considered one of the finest actors in Indian cinema, he has played a variety of characters including numerous critically acclaimed leading or supporting roles. His accolades include two National Film Awards and eight Filmfare Awards. The Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution to Indian cinema and arts.

Raja Hindustani is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Dharmesh Darshan. It tells the story of a cab driver from a small town who falls in love with a rich young woman. Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor play the lead roles. Released on 15 November 1996, the film's plot was inspired from the 1965 film Jab Jab Phool Khile, starring Shashi Kapoor and Nanda. Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin is a 1991 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film produced by Gulshan Kumar and directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film starred Bhatt's daughter Pooja Bhatt in her first major lead female role, with Aamir Khan starring as her love interest. Supporting roles were played by Anupam Kher, Sameer Chitre, and Tiku Talsania, while Deepak Tijori made a special appearance.
Kachche Dhaage is a 1999 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Milan Luthria and starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, and Manisha Koirala. The film features Devgan as a smuggler, delivering goods across the Rajasthan-Pakistan border, was filmed in the deserts of Rajasthan and in Switzerland. It premiered on 19 February 1999 in Mumbai.

Tadipaar (transl. Fugitive) is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language romantic action film directed by Mahesh Bhatt starring Mithun Chakraborty, Pooja Bhatt, along with Juhi Chawla in a special appearance. The super-hit songs of the film were composed by Nadeem-Shravan. The movie was released on the same day as Mithun's Shatranj and both went on to become hits based on Mithun's stupendous popularity at the time.
