Umm Tais National Park is on an uninhabited island on the northern tip of Qatar. [1] It includes sand bars and small islets with mangroves. [2] A number of migratory bird species also inhabit the island. [3] It was established in 2006 during the 15th Asian Games. Ruins of an ancient village known as Al Mafjar are nearby and there are plans to develop it as a tourist attraction. [2] It is also within four miles of the town of Ar Ru'ays. [4]

Energy in Qatar

Energy in Qatar describes energy production, consumption, and policies of the State of Qatar. The International Monetary Fund ranked Qatar as having the fifth highest GDP per capita in 2016 with a 60,787 USD per capita nominal GDP over a population of 2.421 million inhabitants. In 2014, oil and natural gas production made up 51.1% of Qatar's nominal GDP. Thus, Qatar has a worldwide high ranking of per capita GDP due to its significance production and exports in both crude oil and natural gas in proportion to its relatively small population.

Qatari cuisine

Qatari cuisine is made up of traditional Arab cuisine. Machbūs, a meal consisting of rice, meat, and vegetables, is the national dish in Qatar, typically made with either lamb or chicken and is slow-cooked to give it a depth of flavour.[ Seafood and dates are staple food items in the country. Many of these dishes are also used in other countries in the region, because they share many commonalities. In other parts of the region some of the dishes have different names or use slightly different ingredients.

West End Park International Cricket Stadium or Al-Arabi Stadium or Asian Town Cricket Stadium is a cricket ground in Doha, Qatar.

Al Bidda Park

Al Bidda Park, formerly known as Al Rumaila Park, is a park in Doha, Qatar next to Qatar National Theater. It is near Doha Bay, overlooks the Doha Corniche and is one of the oldest and most popular parks in Doha. It is one of the areas used for birdwatching. The park includes a children's playground, small shops, and the Cultural Village, a cultural heritage center.

Qatar National Theater

Qatar National Theater is located on the Doha Corniche, near Al Rumaila Garden in Doha, Qatar. The 490-seat theatre opened in 1986 and hosts concerts and plays. In addition to hosting local troupes, it also hosts international and Arab theatrical troupes on occasion.

Al Najada District in Ad-Dawhah, Qatar

Al Najada is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Doha. It is one of the oldest districts of Doha. Doha's rapid urbanization during the 1970s after it gained independence resulted in the gradual decline of Al Najada. Several of its historical buildings have been demolished.

Al Khurayb is a village in Qatar located in the municipality of Al-Shahaniya. The closest major city is the municipal seat, Al-Shahaniya City. Historically, the village has been inhabited primarily by members of the Dawasir tribe.

Banana Island (Qatar)

Banana Island is a small island in Qatar. Its territory is crescent-shaped and is located off the coast of the capital city of Doha. It is a natural island in the Persian Gulf. Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara was built there.
