Undergroove Records was founded as a British underground metal record label in 1998 by Darren Sadler. The label has since become much more open minded releasing everything from the post-rock of Aereogramme [1] to the trip hop influenced grooves of 27.

Shaffer Chimere Smith, better known by his stage name Ne-Yo, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, dancer, and television judge. He gained fame for his songwriting abilities when he penned his 2004 hit "Let Me Love You" for singer Mario. The single's successful release in the United States prompted an informal meeting between Ne-Yo and Def Jam's label head and the signing of a recording contract.

The Yo-Yos are a British rock and roll band, formed in 1998 by ex-The Wildhearts bassist, Danny McCormack and Tom Spencer, after the two met at a Toy Dolls recording session. The Yo-Yo's recruited Andy Selway (Bladz) on drums and guitarist Neil Phillips to the band.

Yo Gotti American rapper from Tennessee

Mario Sentell Giden Mims, known professionally as Yo Gotti, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record executive from Memphis, Tennessee. In 1996, Gotti released his debut album Youngsta's On a Come Up under the alias Lil Yo. He went on to release From Da Dope Game 2 Da Rap Game (2000), Self-Explanatory (2001), Life (2003), Back 2 da Basics (2006), Live from the Kitchen (2012), I Am (2013), The Art of Hustle (2016), I Still Am (2017) and Untrapped (2020).

Aereogramme were a Scottish alternative rock band from Glasgow, formed in 1998, consisting of Craig B., Iain Cook, Campbell McNeil (bass) and Martin Scott (drums). Prior to their split in 2007, the band released four studio albums.

Painful is the sixth studio album by American indie rock band Yo La Tengo, released in 1993 by record label Matador, their first for the label.

Johnny Truant was a British metalcore band, formed in 2000 under the name Severance. The band recorded three demos under this moniker before renaming themselves after one of the main characters of Mark Z. Danielewski's novel House of Leaves. The band recorded their debut release The Repercussions of a Badly Planned Suicide in 2002 which was released on Undergroove Records. Their second album, In the Library of Horrific Events was produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz. The band have toured the UK, Europe and Canada with the likes of Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Cancer Bats and Alexisonfire as well as playing Download Festival in 2005, 2006 and 2008. Although the band started out as a four-piece, at the start of 2006, Al Kilcullen was added as a second guitarist. As of June 2006, however, Kilcullen was replaced by Reuben Gotto. The band signed to United By Fate Records in the UK and Distort Entertainment in Canada. Their third album titled No Tears for the Creatures was recorded in Brighton Electric throughout November 2007. It was produced and mixed by Dan Weller and Justin Hill of WellerHill productions and at the time both members of Sikth. It was released on 2 June, however the album leaked onto the internet weeks beforehand.

Iain Cook Scottish musician

Iain Andrew Cook is a Scottish musician, composer, record producer and member of Glasgow-based electronic trio Chvrches. He played guitar for the Scottish post-rock band Aereogramme until their breakup in 2007. Cook also composes music for film and television and is a member of the rock band The Unwinding Hours.
