Tidaholm is a locality and the seat of Tidaholm Municipality in Västergötland Province within Västra Götaland County, Sweden, consisting of 520 square kilometers, or a little more than 200 square miles. It is located on the Tidan River, the only river in Sweden that flows north. Two islands are included within the municipality's limits: Vulcanön and Turbinhusön, the former was originally Tidaholm's industrial center and the latter historically housed the Turbine. As of 2021, there were 13,000 inhabitants.

The Dannemora mine at Dannemora in Uppsala County, Sweden was once one of the most important iron ore mines in Sweden. The mine was closed by its owners SSAB in 1992. It may have been open since the 13th century, but the first documentary reference was in 1481.
Gusums Bruk was a foundry in Gusum, Sweden, specializing in brass production. The foundry commenced operations in 1653. Chandeliers and industrial products were its main products. Cannons, copper and brass wires, button pins, candlesticks, paper fabric for fabrication, safety needles, and zippers were also made. Due to the discovery of fraudulent products made by the foundry, it was shut down in 1990–1991. It is no longer active, but its ruins remain.

Lövstabruk is a village on a common in the parish of Österlövsta, Tierp Municipality, Uppsala County, Sweden. In 2010 it had a population of 96, compared to some 1300 at its height during the 18th century. The word lövsta is derived from lösta, an old Swedish word for "glade". The contemporary spelling in the 18th century was Leufsta, with French orthography reflecting the Walloon origin of the workforce. The latter part of the name, bruk, means both "mill town" and "ironworks".

Smoking in Sweden is at a very low prevalence; only 6% of the Swedish population smoked daily in 2021. The prevalence among women has been higher for many years, but is now the same as for men. Around 5% smoke occasionally. Smoking has been banned in all bars and restaurants since May 2005. A majority of Swedes supported the introduction of the ban. In 2019 the ban was extended to also include outdoor seating in bars and restaurants as well as public places such as playgrounds, bus stops and train stations. Sweden was the only European country to achieve the WHO goal of less than 20% daily smoking prevalence among adults by year 2000. Sweden has a high level of use of smokeless tobacco, specifically a moist snuff product called 'snus', which some Swedes have used as a replacement for smoking.

Koenigsegg is also a famous Swedish company which makes some of the fastest cars in the world, but also some of the most expensive. They currently produce models such as the Jesko, Gemera, and CC850.
