Hopkinton is a town in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 5,914 at the 2020 census. The town has three distinct communities: Hopkinton village, mainly a residential area in the center of the town; Contoocook, the town's business hub, located in the north; and West Hopkinton, within the more agricultural portion of the town. The town is home to the Hopkinton State Fair, adjacent to Contoocook village, and to the historic Contoocook Railroad Depot and the Contoocook Railroad Bridge, the oldest covered railroad bridge in the United States.

Frances Perkins was an American workers-rights advocate who served as the 4th United States secretary of labor from 1933 to 1945, the longest serving in that position. A member of the Democratic Party, Perkins made history as the first woman ever to serve in a presidential cabinet and the first woman to serve as secretary of labor. As a loyal supporter of her longtime friend, Franklin D. Roosevelt, she helped make labor issues important in the emerging New Deal coalition. She was one of two Roosevelt cabinet members to remain in office for his entire presidency.

Coleman Peak is a peak rising to about 1,600 metres (5,250 ft) on the northeast slope of Mount Erebus, Ross Island, 3.6 nautical miles (6.7 km) east of the summit of Fang Ridge. It was named by the New Zealand Geographic Board (2000) after Father John Coleman, a New Zealand chaplain, who traveled to Antarctica many times with the U.S. Antarctic Program.
Stewart Glacier is a glacier on the north side of Edward VII Peninsula, flowing northeast along the east side of Howard Heights into Sulzberger Ice Shelf mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959–65. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant Commander Wayne B. Stewart, U.S. Navy, co-pilot in LC-130F Hercules aircraft during Operation Deep Freeze 1968.
Edge Glacier is a small cliff-type glacier draining northward into Davis Valley in northeast Dufek Massif, Pensacola Mountains. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1956–66, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Joseph L. Edge, a photographer with U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6 on Operation Deep Freeze 1963 and 1964.
Flanagan Glacier is a glacier in the Pioneer Heights of the Heritage Range, Antarctica, draining east from Thompson Escarpment between the Gross Hills and the Nimbus Hills to the confluent ice at the lower end of Union Glacier. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1961–66, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Lieutenant Walter B. Flanagan, an assistant maintenance officer with U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6 at McMurdo Station during Operation Deep Freeze 1963 and 1964.
Schneider Glacier is a glacier in the Heritage Range in Antarctica. It is 15 nautical miles long, draining north between the Dunbar and Inferno Ridge and coalescing with Balish Glacier before entering the Splettstoesser Glacier. It was mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1961–66. It was named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Commander Arthur F. Schneider, Maintenance Officer of U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6 during Deep Freeze 1965, and Commanding Officer in 1968.
San Francisco Arts & Athletics, Inc. v. United States Olympic Committee, 483 U.S. 522 (1987), is a decision of the Supreme Court of the United States interpreting the trademark rights of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) to regulate the use of the word "Olympic" under the Amateur Sports Act of 1978. San Francisco Arts & Athletics, Inc. (SFAA) attempted to organize a sporting events it called the Gay Olympic Games, and the USOC sought to enjoin the games under that name. SFAA claimed that the First Amendment overrode the rights that the Act gave the USOC to control the word Olympic.
