University College London Polo Club (commonly UCL Polo Club) is a student polo club affiliated with University College London. The club provides coaching and competitive opportunities for students at all levels and represents UCL in inter-university tournaments.

Activities

UCL Polo Club provides polo coaching and competitive play for riders of all abilities. Beginners follow a structured programme before participating in tournaments. The club participates in regular tournaments against other clubs, including other universities such as Oxford University Polo Club and Durham, Private members' clubs within London and senior sides from the British Army and corporate teams. The club also competes in the Schools and Universities Polo Association (SUPA) national championships, the British university polo national championships.

Organisation

UCL Polo Club is recognised as a student society by the Students' Union UCL. It is managed by an elected committee, which includes the roles of President, Treasurer, Welfare Secretary, Captain, Publicity Secretary, and Social Secretary. Committee members are elected annually by a vote of the membership. [1]

Social and other activities

The club attends major horse racing events such as Ascot and visits polo events including Guards Polo Club. [2]

Colours and kit

The club colours are purple and blue celeste, with the shirt featuring purple with white sleeves and a light blue trim.
