Unreal Estate is an Australian lifestyle television program which premiered on the Nine Network on 27 September 2016, [1] [2] hosted by Kate Langbroek and comedian Cameron Knight. The series looks at extraordinary Australian homes and meeting the larger-than-life people who live in them. [3]

Broadcast

The series was set to premiere on 31 August 2016, [4] but this was delayed after an additional episode of Married at First Sight Australia was added to the planned timeslot of Unreal Estate shortly before that date. [5] The series was subsequently rescheduled to debut on Tuesday, 27 September 2016 at 8:40 pm. [6]

Married At First Sight is an Australian reality television adaptation of the Danish series Gift Ved Første Blik. The show features a group of strangers who participate in a social experiment and are paired together by experts. The "marriages" depicted on the show are not legally binding under the Marriage Act. Rather, contestants engage in an unofficial commitment ceremony. The series first premiered on the 18 May 2015 on the Nine Network. The show has had ten seasons between 2015 and 2023, plus a two-part reunion special which was broadcast before the eighth season in 2021.

The third season of The Bachelor premiered on 29 July 2015. This season features Sam Wood, a 34-year-old Melbourne-based business owner and personal trainer, and founder of children's fitness company Gecko Kids, originally from Tasmania; courting 21 women.

Australia's Got Talent is an Australian reality television show, based on the original UK series, to find new talent. Nine announced that the show would be returning in 2016 for an eighth season. It is the second season to air on Nine after it was axed in 2013. Auditions are open for September and October 2015. On 28 October 2015, it was announced that Kyle Sandilands, Geri Halliwell, Dawn French and Timomatic have been replaced with a new panel of judges, they are Ian "Dicko" Dickson, Sophie Monk, Kelly Osbourne and Eddie Perfect. Julia Morris did not return as host as she is committed to another show and was replaced by Dave Hughes as the host. For the first time, this season introduced the Golden Buzzer. The season premiered on 1 February 2016.

Barracuda is an Australian drama miniseries, first broadcast on ABC TV starting 10 July 2016. The series is based on Barracuda, the 2013 novel by Australian author Christos Tsiolkas, which explores a brutal clash of cultures, dreams and expectations and the relentless demands that are placed upon young athletes, their families, friends, schools and coaches.

The fourth season of The Bachelor premiered on 27 July 2016. This season features Richie Strahan, a 31-year-old Rope Access Technician from Perth, Western Australia, courting 25 women. Strahan previously appeared on the first season of The Bachelorette Australia featuring Sam Frost, where he finished in third place.

The fifth season of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia premiered on the Nine Network on 23 May 2021, following a six-year absence. British business magnate and The Apprentice UK host, Lord Alan Sugar leads the series as CEO, while Lorna Jane Clarkson and Janine Allis became the new boardroom advisors.
