Upper Harbour is a local government area in Auckland, in New Zealand's Auckland Region, governed by the Upper Harbour Local Board and Auckland Council. It currently aligns with the council's Albany Ward. [1]
The area includes Whenuapai, Herald Island, West Harbour and Hobsonville in the west, and Paremoremo, Greenhithe, North Harbour, Albany, Fairview Heights, Greenhithe, Rosedale, Northcross, Unsworth Heights, Windsor Park, Sunnynook, and Pinehill in the east. [1]
The Pāremoremo Scenic Reserve is the largest bush reserve on the North Shore. It is ecological bridge between the Hauraki Gulf islands and the Waitakere Ranges. [1]
The North Shore is part of the large urban area of Auckland, New Zealand, located to the north of the Waitematā Harbour. To the east, has the Hauraki Gulf, to the west, is West Auckland, to the south, has the Waitematā Harbour and Central Auckland, to the north has the Hibiscus Coast. From 1989 until 2010, North Shore City was an independent city within the Auckland Region, until it was incorporated into the Auckland Council.
Albany is one of the northernmost suburbs of the contiguous Auckland metropolitan area in New Zealand. It is located to the north of the Waitematā Harbour, 15 kilometres (9 mi) northwest of the Auckland city centre. The suburb is in the Albany ward, one of the thirteen administrative divisions of Auckland Council. Much of the land to the north of Albany is still semi-rural.
Pāremoremo is a mostly rural locality about 8 km southwest of Albany on the northern fringe of Auckland, New Zealand. Coatesville is about 7 km to the north, and Riverhead is about 8 km to the west. Pāremoremo is home to New Zealand's only maximum security prison.

Massey is a northern suburb in West Auckland, New Zealand. It was formerly a northern suburb of Waitakere City, which existed from 1989 to 2010 before the city was amalgamated into Auckland Council. The suburb was named after former Prime Minister of New Zealand William Massey. Massey is a relatively large suburb and can be divided into three reasonably distinctive areas, Massey West, Massey East and Massey North. Parts of Massey East are also known as 'Royal Heights', which is home to the Royal Heights shopping centre.
Albany was a New Zealand electorate. It was located in north Auckland, and named after the suburb of Albany. It existed from 1978 to 1984, and then was reinstated in 1987 before its final abolition in 2002.
The Hibiscus Coast is a populated area on a stretch of the Hauraki Gulf coast in New Zealand's Auckland Region. It has a population of 60,000, making it the 11th most populous urban area in New Zealand, and the second most populous in the Auckland Region, behind Auckland itself.
The Northern Busway is a segregated busway that runs along the eastern side of the Northern Motorway, part of State Highway 1, in the north of Auckland, New Zealand, linking the North Shore with the northern end of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. As of May 2022, the busway consists of two-way lanes running between Albany Station and Akoranga Station, and from Akoranga Station a southbound-only lane that joins the harbour bridge approaches just south of the Onewa Road on-ramp system. Between 2008 and 2022 the busway terminated at Constellation.
The Upper Harbour Bridge is a motorway bridge in west Auckland, New Zealand. It is technically two bridges, spanning an upper reach of the Waitematā Harbour, and connecting Hobsonville and Greenhithe. It is an important connection for State Highway 18, and became even more important as a component of the Western Ring Route when the route was completed on 2 July 2017.
Helensville was a New Zealand parliamentary electorate in the Auckland region, returning one Member of Parliament to the House of Representatives. The electorate was first established for the 1978 election, was abolished in 1984, and then reinstated for the 2002 election. The seat was won and held by John Key through his term as prime minister. Chris Penk of the National Party held the seat from the 2017 general election until its abolition in 2020, when it was replaced with the new Kaipara ki Mahurangi electorate.
Upper Harbour is a parliamentary electorate in Auckland that returns one member to the New Zealand House of Representatives. It was first formed for the 2014 election. The seat was won by National's Paula Bennett in both the 2014 and 2017 election. The seat is currently held by Labour's Vanushi Walters, who won the seat in the 2020 election.

Oruamo or Hellyers Creek is a stream and tidal estuary of the Waitematā Harbour in the Auckland Region of New Zealand's North Island. It flows through the western North Shore.
