Upper Montclair Country Club is an A. W. Tillinghast-designed golf course located in Clifton, New Jersey.
The original 18-hole golf course and a new clubhouse opened in 1928. [3] In the 1950s, Robert Trent Jones Sr. led a major course renovation, transforming Upper Montclair Country Club into the present 27-hole championship design. [4] In 2000, the club hired Roger Rulewich to complete a course renovation project that included installing state-of-the-art drainage and irrigation system, while reshaping and restoring all of the bunkers throughout the 27-hole facility. [5]
Upper Montclair has appeared in episodes of The Sopranos. [6]

Annika Charlotta Sörenstam is a Swedish professional golfer. She is regarded as one of the best female golfers in history. Before stepping away from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, she had won 96 international professional tournaments, making her the female golfer with the most wins to her name. She has won 72 official LPGA tournaments including ten majors and 24 other tournaments internationally. After turning 50, she came back from her retirement and added a win in the 2021 U.S. Senior Women's Open.
John Joseph Farrell was an American professional golfer, best known for winning the U.S. Open in 1928. Over the course of his career, he won 22 PGA Tour events. He was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2023 and will be inducted in 2024.

Westchester Country Club is a private country club located in Harrison, New York. Founded in 1922 as a destination for sportsmen, it was known to professional golfers and spectators for more than four decades as the home of the Westchester Classic," a PGA Tour favorite. The FedEx St. Jude Championship, founded as the Westchester Classic in 1967, is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Alexis Noel Thompson is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. At age 12, she was the youngest golfer ever to qualify to play in the U.S. Women's Open. She turned professional in June 2010 at age 15. On September 18, 2011, Thompson set a then new record as the youngest-ever winner of an LPGA tournament, at age 16 years, seven months, and eight days, when she won the Navistar LPGA Classic. Three months later she became the second-youngest winner of a Ladies European Tour event, capturing the Dubai Ladies Masters by four strokes on December 17, 2011. She won her first major championship at the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship at the age of 19 years, 1 month and 27 days, making her the second youngest LPGA golfer to win a major.

Another PGA Tour event — the Thunderbird Classic — had also been held there for part of its history in the 1960s.
