Urara Kawaguchi (born 5 December 2000) is a Japanese mountain biker. [1] She competed in the women's cross-country event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. [2]
Georgia Gould is an American professional mountain bike and cyclocross competitor, and Olympian. She has earned five career national championships – four in cross-country mountain bike in 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2012, and one in short track mountain bike in 2009. In 2012, Gould won the bronze medal at the London Olympic Games in cross country mountain bike. From 2006-2016 Gould was employed by the LUNA Pro Team. In 2012, Gould was named North American MTB Woman of the Year by VeloNews magazine. She currently resides in East Burke, Vermont with her husband, Dusty LaBarr.
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot is a French multi-discipline bicycle racer, who rides for UCI Mountain Bike team Ineos Grenadiers in cross-country cycling. Ferrand-Prévot has also competed in road bicycle racing and cyclo-cross during her career, winning the world title in each discipline. During the 2015 season, aged just 23, she became the first person ever – in the history of cycling – to simultaneously hold the World road title, World cyclo-cross title and World cross-country mountain bike title.
Peta Mullens is an Australian racing cyclist, who currently rides for Liv Brazilian Butterfly Racing. She is a former Australian road, MTB and cyclo-cross champion.
Evie Richards is a British cyclist from Malvern, Worcestershire, England who specialises in mountain bike and cyclo-cross racing. She was the women's cross-country world champion at the 2021 Mountain Bike World Championships. Previously, Richards had been under-23 cyclo-cross world champion at the 2016 and 2018 World Championships. In 2022, Richards added a first Commonwealth Games gold in cross-country mountain bike to her palmarès.
Lars Forster is a Swiss cyclo-cross and cross-country mountain biker. He represented his nation in the men's elite race at the 2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Heusden-Zolder, and in the men's cross-country race at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He was on the start list for the 2018 Cross-country European Championship and he finished 1st.
Victor Koretzky is a French cross-country mountain biker and road cyclist, who last rode for UCI WorldTeam Bora–Hansgrohe. He won the junior cross-country world championship in 2011. Competing with the French team he won the cross-country team relay world championship in 2011, 2015, and 2016.
Howard Grotts is an American cross-country mountain biker. He rode in the cross-country event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won the Leadville Trail 100 for 3 consecutive years from 2017 to 2019. He has also won the Cape Epic twice, in 2018 and 2024.
Jenny Rissveds is a Swedish cross-country mountainbike rider. She won the gold medal in women's cross country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
David Valero Serrano is a Spanish cross-country mountain biker. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, he won the bronze medal in the Men's cross-country event. Previously, at the 2016 Summer Olympics, he finished 9th in the Men's cross-country event. He was on the start list for the 2018 Cross-country European Championship and he finished 3rd.
Henrique Avancini is a Brazilian mountain bike racer. He is a two-time winner of the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships, 17 times winner at the National Cross-country cycling championship, and four times Pan American champion. Partnered with German rider Manuel Fumic at the 2016 and 2017 Absa Cape Epic, he won the prologue time trial and stage 1 in 2017, and the stage 7 finale in 2016.
Alan Hatherly is a South African professional mountain bike racer. He won the bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics finishing with a time of 1:26:33, the first African and non-European to win a medal in the men's event.
