Papadahandi,Umerkote,Kosagumuda blocks are the largest producer of Maize. Raggi,maize,sugarcane,Cashew nut. forest products are produced largely here. It is a very beautiful and peaceful district of Odisha. Maize is cultivated in 3 seasons in a year. Farmers sell the maize at very low price as no industry,market is available here
