The Utah Democratic Party is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the U.S. state of Utah. Its platform focuses on economic security, equal opportunity, the common good, and American leadership. The party also describes itself as a big tent party.
The 25th Utah Senate District is located in Cache and Rich Counties and includes Utah House Districts 2, 3, 4, 5, and 53. The current State Senator representing the 25th district is Chris H. Wilson. Wilson was elected to the Utah Senate in 2020 and assumed office on January 1, 2021. His predecessor Lyle W. Hillyard was first elected in 1984.
The 24th Utah Senate District is located in Juab, Piute, Sanpete, Sevier, Tooele and Wayne Counties and includes Utah House Districts 1, 21, 67, 68, 69, 70 and 73. The current State Senator representing the 24th district is Ralph Okerlund, a Republican from Monroe who replaced Darin Peterson. Peterson opted not to pursue re-election in 2008 due to health concerns. Okerlund defeated Tobiah "Toby" Dillon (D) from Tooele City, and Benton L. Peterson (C) from Manti in the 2008 election.
Utah's 21st State Senate district is located in Davis County and includes Utah House Districts 11, 13, 14, 15 and 16. The current State Senator representing the 21st district is Jerry Stevenson. Stevenson was elected by delegates to replace Sheldon Killpack after Killpack's resignation in January 2010. Stevenson is up for re-election in November 2022 after winning the 2018 Election.
Karen Mayne is an American politician who served as a member of the Utah Senate from the 5th District. She assumed office on January 2, 2008, succeeding her husband, Ed Mayne. She won re-election for the 12th senate district after redistricting. On January 4, 2023 Karen Mayne announced her plan to resign office due to unexpected changes in her health. The Utah Democratic Party held a special election on January 15, 2023, in which at the time Representative Karen Kwan was elected to fill her seat.

Stevenson was mayor of Layton from 1994 until 2006.
Jani Iwamoto is a former Democratic member of the Utah Senate, representing the 4th District. Previously she served as a council member of the Salt Lake County Council.
Scott D. Sandall is an American politician and a Republican member of the Utah State Senate representing District 1. He previously represented District 17 from 2019 to 2023 prior to redistricting.
